Nonsense won't be tolerated
Rep: 72thumbs-up

If it wasn’t for the fact that most people believe in these arguments as undisputed proof of their religion I would find this argument extremely hilarious.
“You cannot understand god’s will”. This is the most absurd argument ever to be taken seriously by the religious.

To believe this, everything in reality must be gods plan.

To believe this you must believe god is a serial killer. That doesn’t include the 20 or so million people he killed in the bible, it includes every single person ever to live. Why? Because standing by and watching someone die where you could save them, is conceded murder in the free world.

To believe this, you must believe that god created us to not be able to understand his plan.

To believe this, you must believe that god created some of us, not capable to accepting something without evidence.

To believe this, you must believe that god created some of us to be “sinners”.

To believe this, you must believe everything in the bible must be gods plan. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!

To believe this, you must believe that god already knew which one of us he is going to send to hell.

To believe this, you must believe that god created this universe knowing the brutal, way evolution works.

To believe this, you must believe that anything bad that has happen, you should thank god for that event, because it was part of god’s plan.

To believe this, every war, ever atrocity must be part of god’s plan.

To believe this, every natural disaster must be part of god’s plan.

To believe this, every disease outbreak, was part of god’s plan.

This is not what I believe, this is what YOU must believe, to accept the idea that no one can understand gods plan.

TheoreticalBullshit
Christians believe this is a plan of which no greater plan could be conceived... That the way God has decided to design all of this is absolutely perfect, and immune to criticism. ...Why am I not...
Christians believe this is a plan of which no greater plan could be conceived... That the way God has decided to design all of this is absolutely perfect, and immune to criticism.

...Why am I not in awe?

I don’t know about you, but gods plan doesn’t seem very impressive.

Dude...I was screaming the same thing over in the abortion thread...I was saying that god approves abortion, murder, rape when children are concieved, and suicide...Oh yeah genocide as well..And why might you ask? Because of the “divine plan”...Remember god knows you before you are born...He mapped out all the days of your life in advance...So God determines when you die...And people please...Don’t give me that free will bullshit arguement....The idea of a divine plan negates the possibility of free will because everything is predetermined...

If he did exist, and people down here were complaining and crying over every death and war, he would just say suck it up, life isn’t perfect.

People do cry over every death and war...Thing is there is no god that booms down from the heavens as you say he would...Besides, god saying that life isnt perfect is god admitting he made a mistake...Just ask yourself: Why would a perfect being create something that is imperfect(and imperfections dont happen unless an error is made). Now there can be a scenario where there are no errors are made but unintended results are achieved. Not in gods case being all knowing...

I’m not christian just so you know. But according to the Bible, the reason it isn’t perfect is because 2 primitive nudists were tempted by a lizard to eat magic fruits that made God angrified. So God made everything suck and gave the lizard no legs. Sounds like the equivalent to dumb Greek mythology to me.

The christians still cant accept this...EVERYTHING that happens is gods fault!!!!!! especially the bad stuff...especially...

God created the serpent, yes, but God didn’t disobey God. God doesn’t start wars. God knew Adam and Eve would fail, but he didn’t cause them to.

Would you be content to sit alone in an empty universe forever?
And if I was perfect, why would I create something exactly like myself?

And why would he punish something even though it was him that planned for them to do the thing he said not to. What is he retarded?

Actually, I would want an EQUAL because my ego isnt such that I need subserviants running around like lemmings..If god was lonely why would he want his “friends”(that he created no less) to suffer?...Basically a lonely being created us to amuse him and really doesn’t care about us all to much because of the atrocities we’ve already seen mankind do himself without the intervention of god.

Yet he knew they were going to do that and let them...And this was before free will came along....

So basically you’re saying you want God to fix all the problems that mankind caused?

Free will has always been here. God didn’t force them to do anything.

I’m saying that all the problems mankind caused was a result of god...God let mankind get into the situation he was in by planting the tree of knowledge...It was god that tempted man in the garden, not the serpent...The tree was a result of god. the snake was a result of god...curiosity was a result of god...and mans fall from grace is a result of god...
