Can someone name events in the 1940s

My homework is to find important events in the 1940s. Can anyone give me a link to this please?

Thats not too bad unless it is specific events.

You could do the various pieces of WW2 (Pearl Harbour, Stalingrad and El Alamein), the Nazi War Crimes trials, introduction of the UN and the start of the Cold War.
