sorry....i don’t want to seem unappreciative.....cuz i am really happy you guys care enough to help... but my teacher knows i’m smart....and he knows i’m lazy....so he thinks i’m not going to get this done...but even if i do....he’ll be a harsh judge....so he wants a fairly original topic...

Huh. I never study in my history classes, and I do just fine. I made As and Bs, except in my Government and Economics classes. I had to study for that shit.

That’s me, not taking things seriously...
How about 9/11, the Reagan years and the Bush years, Civil Rights?

Then what would be your favorite subject in history that was at least 100 years ago?

idk....that class was really dull...
i like Japanese, Chinese, and UK history better than US...and all the stuff we had talked about i already knew...

but my fav is world war 2 of course....if it comes down to american history....but again...way to cliche....i’d have to pull out all the stops...and i’d have to make it one hell of a paper in order to please my teacher...as i would have to do better than people who have been working on this project for over 13 weeks....

i may just heed my mom’s advice about the history of the comp....

You could always do one important of historical part of the war, not write a paper about the entire war.

but the whole thing is i have to contrast it with another point in history(that fits the same requirements) or say how it effects the US today....
that is why i am having such a problem...if it was a mere paper on one point in time...i would have gotten this project out of the way a long time ago....

9/11 might do, I don’t think Pearl Harbor would last 7 pages though.

Hows about when the US locked all the Japanese Americans in internment camps for the duration of WW2? It has been a pointy subject between Japan and America since and I guess you could relate distantly to it because you have Japanese relatives?

but i don’t have japanese relatives...i was just born in iwakuni japan....glare

but i thought about that...but how does that contrast to today’s society...or effect us...or what other event in america relate/compare to...
that is another one i had in mind...i was at first thinking either civil rights of minorities (how they have improved over the last 100 years) but there isn’t enough solid info on that...there is only solid info on african americans(sorry DN...another Cliche on this project)
or the great depression in contrast to today’s economy....but that is really long and drawn out...and i past out in class reading info on it 3 times...so i dropped that idea....
