lol yay! its graph lineaar inequalities in two variables... shit i lost my homework. the directions are: graph the inequality in a coordinate plane: but i dont get it...
-2y<8

Well for that you’d need an X value I’d think...just having -2y=8 or anything only gives you the y value...two variables after all so...
EDIT: Well, it’s possible to do it with just the Y I believe but, it says two variables. >.> Either way for that you just solve it for Y, which should come out to a negative even numbered answer.

its an inequality though, greater than less than, k how bout this one?
y<-2x-1 how do i graph it and solve it... the other way around but yeah...

To solve an inequality, you first solve it as a normal linear function.
So, solve -2y=8, which is obviously just a vertical line at y=-4. Since it’s an inequality, you have to shade in all the parts signified by <, which would be all of the graph below the line you drew.

Again, you just solve for y =-2x-1. Since that is just another line with y-intercept -1 and a slope of -2, which would have you going down two points and over 1 point infinitely.
Also, everything less than that line is what you would shade in. I think.
