The Inquisitions

I have a project to do on the Inquisitions.

From what I understand, there was a French Inquisition and there was also a Spanish Inquisition.

To refresh anyone’s memory, it was a tool used by the Catholic church to condemn heretics.

Can someone please help me make sense of the chronology and information and maybe provide some useful links ...
