Company executives made strong statements about Nintendo\\\'s belief that gamers should be able to wirelessly go online and play against each other. -Nintendo announced at E3 2005 that Wii would be able to go online wirelessly and download classic Nintendo games. Nintendo has not yet announced what titles will be available for download. However, it has confirmed that Wii owners could theoretically download every NES, Super-NES and Nintendo 64 game ever made. Also Mega Drive/Genesis and TurboGrafx-16 systems will be availible for download. The publisher is reportedly already working with third party publisher to ensure that popular third party games are also available to download. -The IBM-created CPU is called Broadway. The ATI-developed GPU is called Hollywood. -At E3 2006, Nintendo announced WiiConnect24, a feature of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection that will allow the user to remain connected to the Internet in standby mode. Some possibilities of WiiConnect24 that were mentioned at E3 2006 included allowing friends visit the player\\\'s village in games like Animal Crossing, and downloading new updates for games while not playing or while in standby mode. -Similar to the Nintendo DS Browser, the Opera web browser will be included with Wii. The web browser will be saved in Wii\\\'s Flash ROM (allowing access within seconds), and will support JavaScript. In addition to functioning as a web browser, Opera on Wii will serve as a layout engine to be used for web-based applications. -Wii will support wireless connectivity with the Nintendo DS. Shigeru Miyamoto said Nintendo was still working out when features using this connectivity would be available, but that it would be soon after the launch of the system, due to the popularity of the Nintendo DS. Remote control design: -Constructed to appeal to a wide variety of potential players -3D Pointing: Sensors understand up, down, left, right, forward and backward. -Tilt Sensitive: Controller can be rotated or rolled from side-to-side. -Buttons Included: Has a trigger on its backside, face buttons, and a D-Pad. -Multifunctional: Has an expansion port which can be used with different types of controller peripherals. Analog stick with two trigger buttons planned for left hand. -Wireless: Totally wire-free. Currently there are no details on the max distance, source or power, or otherwise. -Rumble Built-in. Included standard in all the controllers. -The Wii-mote is still powered by two AA batteries, providing up to 60 hours of play time, depending on functions used. -6KB of \\\'non-volatile\\\' memory is contained within the controller. -The controllers will be synchronised to the console via an ID number. Activation will be completed by the use of a button under the Wii\\\'s \\\'flap\\\' and one behind the Wii-mote\\\'s battery cover. -The sensor bar, measuring 20cm wide, includes LEDs to display controller positions - 1 to 4 - and when turning on the console, they\\\'ll blink a certain number of times to indicate battery life.
