question: i was planning on buying the HD player hookup for the 360. does it make sense to buy it or not? since HD is obviously on the edge of dead.

A format does not take the cake until the other is dead.

At the moment, HD-DVD is still kicking, but barely. Blu-Ray will win the 'war' by the end of this year.

But it still has DVD to get past.

The funny thing is, by the time Blu-Ray is the basic standard and everyone uses it, another format will swing by.

Unless of course you meant the HD war, and even then it still hasn’t won.

The HD war is over dude. HD-DVD has no chance. Too many big companies are dropping it for Blu-Ray now.
