I managed to get The Sims 2 on my PC and it runs perfectly. I have yet to see any sufficient lag. There is one major problem though...I can’t use any of the build tools for some reason. Anybody know how to fix this?

Topic Review (Latest First)Posted by NeonMan5 07 Jul 2009 09:24 amI managed to get The Sims 2 on my PC and it runs perfectly. I have yet to see any sufficient lag. There is one major problem though...I can’t use any of the build tools for some reason. Anybody know how to fix this? Posted by NeonMan5 06 Jul 2009 10:59 pmWell, whenever I played The Sims 2 it never lagged. It only ever lagged on an old Toshiba Laptop that was made likey when the original Sims was released. It shouldn’t be a problem on mine
Posted by Krom Shade 06 Jul 2009 05:36 pmSims 3 doesn’t lag as much as Sims 2. plus you don’t have that annoying load screen every time you want to leave the neighborhood.

I’m not sure if there is one, but ignoring the reduced loading times, the free-roam-able neighborhood, the new genes/traits system, and the graphics, TS3 is pretty much the same as TS2. Each family has its own description (plus “Difficulty Level” which tells how hard it is to control the family), their own lifetime wishes to fulfill (plus the improved “wishes system” which I like from this game), etc. Posted by NeonMan5 04 Jul 2009 09:52 amAt any rate, I hope there is a sort of 'Story Mode' for TS3. Posted by angeloelib 04 Jul 2009 09:23 amThe Sims 3 is still about life, family and houses. Neighborhood is just an addition, since MANY wanted to have the players walking around the neighborhood more freely and remove the need to load when they do. Also, fans wanted it more realistic, like needing to bring a pregnant Sim to the nearest hospital to conceive, or be able to see the very workplaces of your Sims, or go to those workplaces to get the job you want your Sim to have instead of having your Sim to browse through the internet or the newspaper, hoping that the job you want is there by chance, etc. — adding a free-roam-able neighborhood was the trick to all of this.
Posted by NeonMan5 04 Jul 2009 09:14 amBy 'original idea' I mean the focus on specific families and housing rather than the neihgbourhood as a whole.

Posted by NeonMan5 04 Jul 2009 06:30 amThe Sims 3 does admittedly look very good, but it just doesn’t seem true to the original idea of The Sims. It’s likely that I will just have to adjust to the new system. Up to ten (10) latest replies / posts from the original topic shown. |
