That doesn’t sound like the prime I grew up watching.
Why these directors can’t do some research on these movies that they are making? Just sit down and watch the entire cartoon series of transformers, it would only take a few weeks. Or read every comic book that wolverine was in. Read all the x-men comics etc etc. I didn’t even bother going to the dragon ball movie after seeing kungfu style fight scene on the trailer. These movies have such huge potential to be all time greats, but somehow, every time, they find a way to employ a director, who knows absolutely nothing about the characters or the story line.

That’s how they raped most book movies, because they don’t do research.

Spike is actually a fairly important part in Transformer’s cannon. They just made him TOO important in the movies.

It’s an entertaining film as far as action, but if you are looking for a riviting plot line that makes you think, this is not the movie for that.

The movie did kind of suck. Michael Bay packed too much into it. Prime was too powerful, (or Magatron got really freaking weak) the fallen was pathetic, Soundwave wasn’t fucking Soundwave, Devastator sucked, and Skyfire/Jetfire was so poorly portrayed it wasn’t funny. Not to mention the movie lacked any kind of sensible storyline, AND Bay blatantly ripped off the 86 movie by killing Optimus. It was pretty sad.

I was told that prime killed in this movie? He wouldn’t do that. He would cripple the bot, but never destroy, unless it was to save someone from immediate destruction.
