Use bittorrent to download Mystery's Venusian Arts Handbook and also all his DVD's 5. Go out with whatever friends you have...seriously...go out 4 nights a week if you have the time to. Make it something you gotta do more often but do NOT think of it as a chore. Your mission is just to go have FUN. 6. Talk to girls you don't care about as much as you can. If you talk to girls you're attracted to, your mission is to become FRIENDS with them 7. To pay for your new lifestyle, GET A COLLEGE DEGREE that will make you a consistent, above-average salary at the very least. This is likely the hardest part since no one has a secret to making a fortune. This requires extensive career counseling, but here is not the location. Anyways, forget buying a house and other items that do not help you make over your lifestyle, at least for now. 8. Pick up new hobbies and new challenges outside of your comfort zone. Think of it as an adventure. Think of things that you MIGHT love to do. Lifelong friendships are built because people have gone through a lot of tough shit together. If you add more experiences in your life with different people, the higher chance you will have true friends. 9. Make small changes everywhere that make you a DISTINCTIVE person. For example, decorate your apartment with a certain theme. Ride a motorized scooter everywhere. Wear a cowboy hat all the time. Buy a pet parrot. Take up yoga or forms of meditation or taichi. The key is making yourself interesting. Just avoid whatever everyone else is doing. That is the mundane. 10. Smile. Chill out. Don't take things so seriously. --- These are very basic 10 tenets. These do not absolutely apply to every single person, but if you can follow all of these you will become happy. If you made a checklist today of all your goals and wants, wouldn't you want to see a lot more checks than empty boxes 10 years from now? So get up and do something. To the rest of you, I am the only living member of my immediate family, and I am paralyzed from the waist down (result of Iraq for only being there 1 year). I don't think most of you are in worse situations than this. It took me about 5 years to turn my life around. I attempted a startup company that tried to make tanks more accessible to handicapped people. The startup failed, but because of it, I got into the Wharton school, the number 1 ranked undergrad business school. I graduated last May. I have a job that I love, and I have a girlfriend. It took me the entire 5 years to revamp myself. It wasn't just going to school, it was changing my entire personality after my depression. It was the toughest thing in the world. But, are you just going to sit around while the world fucks you over?[/quote]

i know how you feel... i felt that way at one point... but... i learned to hold out... in time the one you love will come into your life. and you’ll see it was well worth the wait and the pain. until then though. surround yourself with friends. they’ll make the wait seem like nothing at all in hind sight.

it’s 3:22 AM as i write this and i am watching x-men
this is how i spend my nights;
hbo on demand
some caffeinated drink
and... my laptop.
the only source of warmth i have when i’m lonely is a machine
yes it glows, yes it can provide words of comfort,
but it can’t hold my hand and it doesn’t have a shoulder for me to put my head on

i am... i tried but i have failed. i am just lonely now. i tried to put myself “out there”. i tried to be interested and interesting. but, i am neither. i don’t know. maybe this is the way it’s supposed to be for me. alone. the stupidest part? i STILL have a grain of hope that someday i will find him. i think that’s the worst part. if i knew i wasn’t i could live my life and not think about it. just accept it, and move on. i could be alone, but not lonely anymore.
