Topic Review (Latest First)Yeah, most guys are shameless whores lol My experience has shown me, guys almost always bring out the very worst in girls, and girls can bring out even WORSE in guys... On the other hand, girls seem to be able to bring out the finest in a guy when they want to, and actually care about “him”, more than just what they can “get” from him.
But anyway the thing is, guys seem to be more willing to break out of mediocrity, and to think more progressively, instead of completely limiting themselves to endless circles of pointless mundanity, as we girls tend to gravitate towards :P...
That’s where it gets confusing, 'cause when a girl wants a deep and meaningful friendship, it can be hard to find it within a circle of other girls, sometimes. I mean..I guess guys just seem to be interested in more “interesting” aspects of life, a lot of times. lol ...But, that doesn’t stop their association from having a really bad effect on us, and our own sensibilities.
Even if girls are “at their worst” in the company of other girls, there is usually a guy or guys involved, or behind it somehow...
I guess it would be safe to say we’re better off keeping our connections with guys “refined” to those we genuinely care for, and who sincerely love us too. Add booze into the mix... Need I go further? Haha Anyone who can’t be friends with a member of the opposite sex without falling in love with them is a total tosser. Zucas wrote:
Well, just my opinion, but anyone can be friends. But to be good friends, there is going to be some sort of love connection. I mean you like your friends, but your best friend you love. That doesn’t make you gay because it is a connection similar to family. Just like you love your brother or sister or whatever you love your best friend.
But love is a complex thing. So if you love your best friend of the opposite sex, I mean who knows where it’ll go. It could go either way really. It’s not something you can stop or prevent from happening as love isn’t something concrete or finite. But don’t feel like you are betraying your friend because it happens and the friend should understand.
However, some of the best and longest lasting relationships come from people who used to be friends. When you make that connection as a friend it can move on to something else and easy to stick with the person because you have for all your life anyways.
Well said- I agree oh hai wrote:
No it is impossible to not like a girl, DUUURRRR!!
What guy said it is impossible? I have never heard one story of this happening.

I find it hard to believe that a guy doesn’t have any girl friends.
No- of course guys are friends with girls and vice versa-
I am very good friends with a guy, and they always go on to say that he likes me and bla bla bla- but it’s not like that at all. We’re friends, that’s that. I always have to say 'we’re just friends' and most other guys tell me back that it’s not possible and bla bla bla No it is impossible to not like a girl, DUUURRRR!!

I have heaps of 'girlfriends'. I see nothing wrong with it. Sure I’ve been told that if I wasn’t with Butterfly that they’d take a run at me, but they know I’m a loyal old dog. faithful to the end, so thats it really. We flirt sometimes, shit stir each other, I’ve had threats of rape and all that too, but its all good natured. Hell, I’ve seen half of my GF in their underwear or bed clothes and they know I’m not gonna try anything and vise versa. Afterall, its just flesh. No different to your own body apart from a few obvious biological differences..ie breasts being larger..etc but theres nothing in it.
I don’t see why people of opposing sex’s can’t be great mates. So long as each of you know your boundries and don’t start seeing more into freindship than what there is..then its all cool.
I guess that goes double for me being bi and all..but yeah..you get the drift.
Did you just call your self a bitch?
no. Gplex wrote:

So I always hear the two major sides to this debate..
heaps of guys say that you can’t really be friends with girls, because they’ll end up falling for them and then feel stuck because they’re only labelled a “friend” with the girl.
But I say the same goes for the girl in the reverse situation..
And in other cases, a friendship just works without any of that drama.
Some people are open to it , and others are completely closed off..
What say you?
Heaps of guys? Are you sure about that? I haven’t run into any in my entire life.

“Look I’m accidently in my underwear”, I’m sure she isn’t trying to get your attention.

I think he just did…
Yes I think it is possible for males and females to be friends, but if you are looking for a partner, and your best friend is part of the opposite sex and you find this person attractive, it doesn’t take much to figure out that this person would be perfect for you.
Thers no accident about it. We frequently have freinds staying over for the night. The sleep in their underwear or pjs or whatever they choose. I walk around in my boxers or a robe.
Theres no attention getting in it, just a bunch of freinds who are comfortable around eachother to be themselves and non apprehensive.
