Larry Legend was a BEAST period, everyone who is too young will not realize, that he has one of the sickest, smoothest and greatest shot’s of all time. He was super clutch, and could handle the ball as good as the greatest ever. He field of vision on the court was absolutely amazing, with the passes that he would make and the openings he would see in the lanes for his team mates.
Larry played in arguably the most competitive and psychical era ever within the NBA, and if anyone remembers...the EAST was super loaded back then.
Knicks with King, 76er’s with Dr. J, Dominique and the Hawks, Isiah and the Pistons, Jordan and the Bulls...and you add the Celtics and it was mayhem. Honestly, Magic had it alot easier, Celtics and 76er’s would have to literally claw there way through the Eastern Conference Playoffs just to get to the NBA Finals.
Yeah, a in his prime Jordan would beat a in his prime Larry Bird, however Larry Legend was no pushover. Go back and check out that 1987 Celtic’s team, regarded as one of the Top 5 greatest NBA Teams of all time...although imo, Jordan had THE greatest NBA Team ever...72-10 is absolutely phenomenal!
I would like to know how Bird was overrated? In his Rookie Season he took the Celtics from the previous year of 29-53 to 61-21, it was the biggest turn around in NBA History and only recently broken by the 2008 Celtics team.
He won NBA Rookie of the Year that season, and they narrowly missed the NBA Finals losing out to the 76er’s in the Eastern Conference Finals that year.
Please tell me how that was “overrated”? Also, Bird had one of the greatest shots in NBA History, his release so super fluid, and the most amazing was on how Larry could make his shots with people all over his face.
He helped make the Celtics appear in the NBA Finals Five Times during the 80’s, while winning 3 out of the 5.
He also won 3 MVP’s during his career, and at the end of his year’s when his back was giving out to him, he still made the Celtics a playoff contender. Just look at the Celtics Post-Larry Bird until recently and you tell me if he’s still overrated. His 86 Celtics Team is regarded as one of the greatest teams in all NBA teams, usually regarded within the Top 5, just look at the stats and they don’t lie, not to mention they went an incredible like 41-1 or something like that at home. Only Portland beat them at home that entire year.
Yeah, basically everyone is a step below Michael Jordan, I mean without a doubt, MJ was playing a completely different lvl, almost like as though the guy was using cheat codes or something. However, Larry Bird was never ever overrated.

jordan. no one can get on his level.
Lebron will be better by the time he retires.
Hell..............no
HELL............................YES
Lebron is only 24 and I’m betting on him winning the Championship this year plus the MVP, Jordan was 28 before he won his first championship and if you compare the numbers are similar. Jordan scored more points but didn’t win as many games plus the rebounds and assists are also very close. By the time James is 28 he’ll be just as dominant as Jordan was in his prime if he’s not already.

Korver is a decent outside shooter but no way he even comes close to beating Larry Legend.
He would drop 3’s in his face all day
lol dam you really underestimate Birds skills, Larry was a dominant shooter, far greater than Korver will ever be plus Bird was on the 2nd Team All Defense 3 times, so he was a pretty good defender while Korver’s defense is average at best. Bird would destory Korver and it wouldn’t even be close.

Only one problem..............................
Jordan wasnt great when he first came. Guess what........Lebron IS IN HIS PRIME or very close to it.
and to say he’s better than Kobe is foolish.
