Wow you just describe 90% of the people who go to my gym…. And only a few of them are bodybuilders.. look the number 1 reason why most people workout, is to look good. (or to the point where they think they look good) You know you don’t have to rage at the guys with the six packs, just because you don’t have one.

But a lot of them assume since they are meatier than an athlete, in their mind, they think they are stronger than that athlete.
Yea..

That is not so, I know 130lb powerlifters who appears to be scrawny but has much heavier lifts than a lot of bodybuilders. May not be benchpress but it will be squats, deadlifts and other powerlifts.
Wow.. I wonder how many bodybuilders complain that weightlifters can’t do pull-ups, bicep curls, leg extensions etc. Bodybuilders, train to be bodybuilders. Fighters train to be fighters.. you wouldn’t expect Fedor to out swim a Olympic swimmer would you?

Bodybuilders do not work for functional strength, they work to attain strength and gains they can show off in the gym.
I’m not a bodybuilder, but I’m pretty sure most of them do it to get the attention of girls.

A man can be benchpressing 225lbs but can’t do enough pushups or carry around big bags of cements. Carrying around big bags of cements is what we call functional strength, can you imagine bodybuilders doing work like this? No, I didn’t think so, so don’t think just because your biceps are larger than someone else means you are stronger than them.
I bet a steroid freak could lift more “big” bags of cement around then you…

No it doesn’t mean that. And their workouts cause their muscles to become very sluggish, not fast twitch and not explosive, they can’t last in a fight against a real pro fighter. What do you guys think? Agree or disagree?
I can be pretty sure only another pro heavy weight fighter would stand a chance against another pro heavy weight fighter..
Almost your entire argument feels as if you are jealousy of bodybuilder, or pretty much anyone who works out and doesn’t aim for strength.

Alright I had a little run in with viiziion and your entire argument doesn’t address how much of a wanabe he is, but instead you have a little cry at people (like myself, a fighter) who doesn’t train for strength.

I train as a fighter, and I still put more muscle on then you.

Well, you are at a pretty heavy weight. And you are right, maintaining muscle size and definition as a fighter is tough.
Yea, but you got to remember, all the conditioning work, makes my bones heavier than normal.

I still don’t understand why people want insane muscles though. I doubt that, for the most part, it’s for attraction, but rather functionality.
You need to have the mentality.
Bodybuilding is a science.. its for the “Manly Nerds” per say. I love bodybuilding because I like how I can change my body and its very intriguing to see how far I can take my body. Being under 340 pound of weight also shows yourself a lot about yourself.
As well.. you have nobody to rely on but yourself. If someone screws up.. it doesn’t effect you, only when you screw up does it effect you.
