Derrick Rose had the best performance by a rookie ever, and it still took Ray Allen going 1-12 and Paul Pierce missing a free-throw for them to win. I guarantee you Allen’s shooting is going to pick up and Rose won’t duplicate that performance, so I have faith that the Celtics will win the series.

Yeah, it’s not like the Bulls didn’t under perform, or anything. Johnny Salmons didn’t play horrible and Ben Gordon wasn’t exactly relevant until the 4th quarter.


This is also the second time Ray Allen looks to be fucking up in the 1st round. Expect a similar game 2 performance in the forecast.

That’s not going to counter act Rose coming back down to Earth. Sure Gordan and Salmons didn’t have great games, but the Celtics are one of the best defensive teams in the league, that could’ve have a little it to do with it don’t you think? Rose had an astounding game,but he’ll be lucky to average 20points and 6 assists for the rest of the series.

The Celtics are merely a above average at best defensive team without KG in their line-up. I believe they give up 8 more points per game without him. That’s MASSIVE.

And I don’t think you’re understanding the kind of game Rose had, he didn’t get hot from behind the arc or score the strong majority of those points off of mid range jumpers (I believe only 8 of those points came off non-free throw jumpshots), he routinely burned Rondo (arguably the best defensive point guard in the league) and exploited the fact that the Celtics only had one defensive presence in the paint (Perk).

With all due respect to BBD (I can’t hate on him when he goes out and looks like he’s playing with Iverson-like 150% effort), he simply isn’t quick, tall or athletic enough to be able to legitimately contest Rose at the cup, without fouling him.

I don’t think Rose will go off for 36 and 11 again, but I do believe he will be a monster in this series and will demand a double team. Rose just proved in that game that he’s unguardable on the perimeter, you may have streak shooting nights, but you don’t have streak first step nights. The double team he will demand, Salmons and Ben Gordon playing like they’re capable of playing, Tyrus Thomas being able to attack the cup because of the attention Rose will draw, if the Bulls go out there and win this next game or lose by 5 points or less and Rose goes out and puts up 20-10, you’ve got to have them the favorites in this series.

You know, I’m not one to harp on the refs, but that last game was ridiculous. I understand it’s the playoffs and you let the players play a little bit, but when I see this unsaid rule only apply to one team, I have to call BS. The Celtics were looking very weak on this game and got bailed out. I’d say, they’re in trouble.

Back to Chicago. The key players in this game for the Bulls are Rose and Salmons. I want to see these two cut to the basket and get the Celtics bigs in foul trouble. Rose was getting to the cup at will when Rondo was healthy, time to press his obviously sore ankles advantage. That’s the type of injury that only gets worse as the days go by without rest. Also, it’s clear Rondo’s ankle is tender, so I want to see harder fouls from the Bulls when Rondo’s in the paint. I want him to have to think really hard about what he’s going to have to do, and earn those points from the line.


I’m very excited for this game. Should be another close one, I think the Celtics should be favored to respond to the Poe injury with force and edge the Bulls out.

Uh-oh... Rondo could have some serious problems with that ankle. I think he’s playing it off like it’s not a big deal just to keep the spirits and hope up for the team, fans and media. It’s pretty serious when you have to be carried off to the locker room.

Dam this is a fucking great series so far, but I think Boston closing it out with the next game, I still think they’ll make the conference finals ,but the Cavs are gonna fucked them up hard.
