thats sad rly? and i thought i went to a weak school, the average here is like 4 i did 11 pull ups and 50 pushups. my school is full of weak people so i was expecting more
well at that age if your fairly fit you should be able to do quite a few pushups as your going to weigh less then you will over the next few years which means your power to weight ratio ought to be fairly decent , but pull ups are more demanding then pushups as your having to lift your whole body weight and not just part of it like in pushups. From what i remember i think i was able to do 40 pushups and around 14 or so pullups. Unless you have been doing some regular strength training and cardio then id say most kids that age would be doing somewhere between 25-30 pushups and 6-10 pullups.

I don’t even know what you guys are talking about? Total pushups/pullups or consecutive til failure? Anyways you are right, the proper pushup is only 60% of your total body weight, and that is with good form so pullups are obviously more demanding since you are using your biceps and your upper back to pull your entire body up. I can’t imagine the average 13YO doing more than 7 consecutive pushups and not even a single pullup, not unless this 13 year old is athletic, but speaking on an average level. I don’t see them doing much. Also rep count is more of muscular endurance than strength, keep that in mind and don’t confuse them.

If you could only do 20 pushups and 8 pullups, chances are you are doing them both with shitty form or you are lying. Because comparing your total pushups to 8 pullups doesn’t really make much sense. Back when I did more calisthenics, I could do 70 pushups without stopping and only 10-12 pullups.
