He’s talking about the fighters, not spectators. And there’s nothing wrong with drinking beer, as long as you can control yourself... and you’re of legal age of course.

Mayweather is extremely ignorant. Also he fights at 146lbs now I think. I really can’t imagine him lasting a minute in the cage with a guy like Mike Brown. He will be taken down and submitted in the first ten seconds.

Oh my gawd, nobody gets drunk and fights in MMA or during there training. Some fighter probably have a few drinks at night or at parties or clubs... Common sense, get some.

That’s an understatement. Mike Brown would tear Mayweather apart.

LOL let me lay it out for you. What Mayweather is saying is Beer Drinkers are for dirty, low class, biker-bar type people. Pretty boy only drinks the finest champagnes and expensive wines because he’s upper class.

MMA fighters can make a shit load of money. They’re definitely in upper class pay figures. Me? No I’m part of the dieing middle class in America.

I doubt they get paid half of a well known boxer.

^sounds about right
I love how he says that MMA is five rounds a match and boxing is 12 rounds, but 12 rounds of what? punching and dancing around the ring? And about running 8-9 miles? Why would anyone who does mixed martial arts want to run that far everyday just to last 12 rounds? That’s because in MMA, there is only 5 rounds a match, it would be much more sport specific to do short sprints than long distance running. Because then that would give them the explosiveness and a certain amount of cardio in order to perform a faster takedown, is that right? Also it’s natural for anyone who does MMA to also emphasize on some strength training. Reason: They will be using their hands, feet, knees, elbows, they will be performing takedowns and submissions. In boxing you use your hands.
As they say it’s two different sports, two completely different sciences, no way in hell Mayweather can last in MMA.

Yeah but I think that will change in the future.

This is how much a few fighters got paid for just one fight.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira def. Tim Sylvia
Nogueira — $200,000 ($100,000 to show; $100,000 to win)
Sylvia — $100,000

Frank Mir def. Brock Lesnar
Mir — $80,000 ($40,000 to show; $40,000 to win)
Lesnar — $250,000

I bet if Lesner won that match he would have gotten $500,000 for one fight.
