Anime is a business just like any other and has its origins in style back from the 1960s because the Japanese admired Disney’s style of cartooning and had want to emulate the large eyes usually drawn on the characters.

While some people don’t like western cartooning, many don’t like eastern style either. I like some of both and anime does get to be repetitive in style and stories too since there are tons out there and the market is currently oversaturated and that’s not counting competitors such as South Korea.

Currently. I prefer something more original like the story “Monster”; there’s only so much reinincarnated death stories,space invaders/fighters and ninjas etc. one person can take before it gets DULL. The same reason why I dropped western cartooning overall too (super hero comics stuff etc); predictable and DULL.
