You mean Muslim extremists? Like Christianity, the religion is supposed to be peaceful, but certain people forget that and focus on hate agendas. How are many Americans who call themselves Christian truly different in this aspect? It’s just ignorant prejudice under the veil of “patriotism”.

I realize this. But many of your ilk I’ve heard elsewhere arguing against separation of church and state. Saying that it is bullshit and doesn’t exist, using their own interpretation of what the Constitution says.

No, but those are just words. That same sentiment is still there. Superiority complex, self-righteous hate, snobbery and ignorance.

First, I have nothing to “lose”. My choice to believe something is supposed to be a leap of faith. What many of you Christians don’t get is that you are asking for more than just a leap of faith that God, or some Supreme deity exists. You’re asking to make a leap of blind faith to “your team” or views on him, ignoring every other belief that may have just as much concrete proof, just based on cultural popularity and little to no factual evidence. And given the hate and hypocritical snobbery many churchgoers have, I’d rather not be around that kind of negativity. Like, for example, how some will act like atheists are just not even people. Which is funny, because some of these churchgoer’s so-called morals are fake as hell. For example, some of them may care about helping the poor if the Church is doing a food drive, but then forget about them the rest of the year. It’s more of a snobby dog and pony show for these elitist attention whores. Or their “virtues” only extend to you if you believe as they do.

You just believe whatever a MANMADE institution like Church tells you without question. Think about it. Were churches right when they tried to condemn Columbus a heretic for stating that the world was round? Or when certain Churches tried to justify slavery? Being a Christian doesn’t mean BLIND faith in Church as an authority on “God”.
