one thing about real-life freestylin...don’t get all worried if you miss a beat or cant think of what to say...the worst thing to do is just start trying to fill in words that kind of ryme thinkin you’ll get back on point in a minute...just start a new thought, even if its in the middle of your last verse...just wait till the next beat and start over...but don’t sweat it if you drop it, just let someone else pick it up or clear your thought and start again in a minute
also you can try different rythems when your rymin...everything doesn’t have to be a ryme at the end of a sentence...you should at least make couplets and alternate them...if sounds wack if you just ryme everthing, which is what alot of people do when they start out...like:

I got a map/

it has a flap
break up the flow so its got a rythem...
