This seems to be a really big debate that no one sees to notice.

VR and HD are 2 ways to look or visualize your gaming experience. Now Sony and MS support HD while the Revolution is basically confirmed to have a VR.

So both different ways of looking at your games but which is better. I mean HD allows you to enhance the visuals and give you a better overral picture. But VR gives you the ultimate interactive experience of feeling like you are in the game. I mean you will be the character in the game with VR.

So my question is is it the HD era or the VR era.

I go with VR because the whole interactive aspect to it will make games overral more fun to play and feel like you are really going throught the course of events as the character you play. But that is just my opinion.

Wow I thought this topic would spark up some controversy but I guess it hasn’t.

Well just to spark some up why would MS and Sony release out HD if no one is going to use it. I mean only 10% of American has it right now. And that is probably really cut short to gamers in general. And even if it will be the standard in 2010 companies will start advertising their next consoles in 4 years anyway. So why have something no one will use.

You have a point
But can you define to me what you mean by VR
Like how are you going to use it with the revolution

Well the Virtual reality would be used differently from the regular way of using it. Because the revo controller is basically for all the movements in the character would make the VR would basically be there to visualize the game in a different perspective.

Also the VR could be there to just get rid of the controller and play the game as you would in real VR. Anyway it is a new way of viewing and playing the game.

But if I had to go with a way it was used with the revo. The VR reality would be more used as a different way of visualizing the game. Kinda just like a visor. So you could visualize the game in 3d right in front of you, so you could have the ultimate sound system, so you could have the ultimate experience.

But because the revo controller already works in 3d space you don’t need to have the full VR. So more just like a visor then that would show the game in VR.

HDTV will start getting popular at 2010-2011 timeframe but by then the next consoles will be being announced and who cares what these have. Yah HD will be used by very few people. So we agree on something. Just not enough people have the money for it. Unluckily for those 10% of people who do have it all the others must pay for it because they have the games made in HD and SD so it makes the game cost extra. Only for that itty bitty percentage too. I see it as wrong buy go figure.
