In the chiefs first missions (all of them actually) stealth has been a main weapon for him. Thats whey he’s called SpecOps.

ALthouhg solid Snake is cooler the only way that he could win is if he has his infinite ammo bandanna and steal generator with him, as well as that samarai sword he gave Gaiden in mgs2.

but without that mc would own him easily

Solid Snake would win because he’s fought CYBORG NINJA, which is essentially Master Chief, except he can deflect bullets, and do everything MC can except better.
Also, he’s taken down METAL GEAR numerous times...

MC is strong, and even stronger with his suit... but I doubt anyone can take down the legendary Solid Snake.

Solid Snake would beat Master Cheif, no problem, some people need to learn how to weigh the facts, plain and simple, Snake has all this

Stealth
Infinite Ammo Bandanna
Multiple Rations
handguns
assault rifles
sniper riffles
shotguns
rocket launchers
grenades
mines
and here recently in Metal Gear Acid, control of all the Metal Gear and control over most main characters.

MC is screwed as all MC has are

A suite which doesn’t do jack, he’s stronger but can still be killed bu one head shot, unlike Snake.
A list of weapons that he can’t hit snake with because snake has stealth
And a bunch of vehichles that Snake can shoot down with a a Stinger Missle.

Snake has taken on a number of metal gears all at once, a feat even MC couldn’t accomplish

Wow this is one helluva a long thread.

Amyways, both of these guys freakin' rock (like me) and I think it would be a pretty even match. Or at least Snake would win in some types of batlles and Master Chief would win in other types as well.

Although I am a Metal Gear fan let’s look at this battle in a realistic way. First of all let’s look at Solid Snake: A man that has many, many years of experience under his belt, as does Master Chief. Snake has taken on countless “Metal Gears” which is considered the greatest weapon ever made. I mean this thing has been described as a “nuclear equipped walking battle tank” and Snake has taken it down all by himself with help by the right weapons of course. Now people talk about Master Chief’s sheild and how Snake would have a rough time getting beyond that. Those Metal Gear’s had shields as well and they are a lot more bigger and powerful then Chief will ever be. Now I ask you, if Snake can beat something much bigger and powerful than him AND Master Chief combined then what makes you think Snake can be defeated by a man of his own size? But if you still favor Master Chief then I ask you: If Master Chief took off the armor and made it a fair fight then who would really win? I gotta give it to Solid Snake, but either way, neither man would go down easily.

dude taking down meatle gear dosent say any thing its a machine...in that case mc took dow a big ass cov. ship by jumping into space then landing on his ship again
he fucking destroyed halo he has ai he has been traind since he was a child to carry out military tactics he has titanium bones he can flip a tank...snake cant even jump...what has snake done that he hasen? kill peaple thats all snake dose is kill peaple and blow shit up mc dose enough of that too...no bullshit like he destroyed meatal gear or some shit...thats nothing special...i am sure if they put it in mc game he would take it out just as easy...think logically...he even runs fast as shit

well look at it this way there is soo many times i play that game and say y the fuck dont this thing just shoot 1...yes 1 of its missiles and kill him?
y because they make it easy on you like someone can seariosly be dumb enough to let you run in circle shooting at you
go play the game next time you get a chance and act like you controll the meatle gear and see how retarted the person that is, is...im sure you will then see that it could kill snake in 10 secounds if a actuall human was controlling it

Solid Snake Knows CQC which is Close-Quarters-Combat and/or if Snake were to show up with any Metal gear, then he would crush him.

Now dont get me wrong but I got alot of respect for Chief but Solid Snake is more of a PERSON and that is why he gets more respect and is why he is more cooler. HALO is a good game but it is to simple to follow, or respect it. the Metal Gear Saga has people that the player could relate to and the game is more respected and has a better back-round story.

You cant even begin to understand halo because one if there were a covenant then how come they never came before to earth and you cant acheave space flight because it against the laws of pysics
