According to Forbes, it takes about $3 million dollars to be Batman. It means a lot of people who much much richer than Bruce can be more powerful than Batman. Forget about martial arts if you can create very expensive huge machine with super laser beam and nuclear blast that can take down superheroes and supervillains.
And Ryu is able to defeat huge supervillains like Apocalypse and Onslaught with no money.
Wolverine doesn’t have accelerated healing in Marvel vs Capcom? Well, perhaps Ryu’s energy blast can destroy so fast, even faster than accelerated healing. And wait.... Apocalypse as final boss also has accelerated healing, and Ryu can still take him down.
Why Batman can defeat super powerful enemies? Perhaps they underestimate Batman for his stupid looking. I don’t blame them. Batman’s so funny. Wings but can’t fly. Tight black suit (or even purple in comics!).
Supervillains fight all out with Superman for his famous powers but they laugh at stupid Batman. Even Mr.Bean possibly can defeat Darkseid if Darkseid underestimates this funny guy. He makes Darkseid laugh and steals his cube (I don’t know what it is exactly but it seems very lethal), than smack the cube to laughing Darkseid.
To underestimate is common mistake for supervillains, eh?
Anyway, Ryu as pure fighter doesn’t underestimate. And this is disadvantage for Bruce. Shoots energy blast and Bruce is over.
