As a moderator, I have created numerous topics regarding how this website should be. The initial response from these were that the members and guests of Moviecodec.com thought that it was fine, but sometimes got out of hand. I want to know if topics like racism and anti-semitism are allowed (I randomly assumed that they weren’t) and what I should edit/look out for.

As for the forums created specifically for feedback, it seemed that they enjoyed the laid-back personality that we allow them to have. They enjoyed the ability to insult others without being prosecuted. I am posting a website link that allows you to see.

P.S- I didn’t ban the Bjarne Lundgren impersonater right away because
1) He didn’t in any way seem to be breaking any rules
2) He didn’t say that he was you



P.S.S- The reason for this topic is to see how I should do my job better. Please list what I can do to improve. One-words sentences are understandable to make it easier for your part. But I’m not very good at giving things directly.

Hi,

I know I need to update and make clearer the rules on the forums.

However in general terms I will say:

1)racism: Difinetely NOT allowed (It is also against the AUP/TOS of service under which moviecodec.com is hosted!). Should always be moderated and perhaps place a warning in the message for the poster. Repeat or extreme offenses should eventually cause banning.

2)anti-semitism : See above, it’s the same thing: NOT allowed.

3)affiliate urls/commercials: Generally not allowed, repeat/spamming should cause banning.

4)death threats: NOT allowed, moderate and eventually ban repeat offenders.

5)unrelated replies in topics: try to delete totally unrelated stuff, not as a rule, but when it begins to take over.

Impersonating others is not a good thing obviously, but not an extremely bad thing as long as it’s guests impersonating each other: Register a user account! Repeat and abusive impersonation should be moderated however.
