First of all, we will get some people in here saying stupid things, please just ignore them, as I will.
Now, I’ve seen a lot of Vesus threads in my life, but most of them seem one sided. I was thinking about who I thought could be a good fight and I came up with this.
Both characters are Marksmen, both can turn into Demon forms, and with the upcoming release of Dirge of Cerebrus both characters seem to have similar abilities.
I’m for Vincent in this match, Vincent has four different tansformations, I know in DOC Vincent has more than one weapon, he can switch between bazookas, shotguns, hand grenades, and he has his claw for melee attacks. The mechanics for Dirge of Cerebrus was based off of Devil May Cry so I’ll bet we’ll see a lot of Acrobatics from Vincent too, as well as in Final Fantasy VII he jumps up, does a backflip, and lands on the edge of the coffin he was sleeping in.
So both characters have similar skills, so what does everyone else think? Oh and try not to be biased toward a chacter you like more, give reasons you think he could win, I don’t want any, “vincent is gey, Dante rocks 11010010111” try to post a few reaons why you think Dante or Vincent is better.
come up with a topic that has two characters that everyone knows, like sanus nd master chief. half of the people on this forum dont know jack crap about those guys, besides dante he was cool.
I haven’t played DOC yet, so i’ll just base vincent off the movie and FF7. i think dante will win just because of the intro in 1 and 3. he got stabbed big time, and he felt nothing! i know in advent children, vincent turned into this cape thing and starting shooting at the same time. that was hot! but i don’t think he’ll hurt dante like that. they both have a limited time in demon form, but dante’s demon seemed stronger than vincent’s... but yeah, i think dante would win, but it would still be very close!

okay, first of all, the only reason why i would dis anyone is if the make blatant, ignorant comments about anything. and the only reason i made fun of highschoolers was the fact that they kept complaining about how the cell and bd-roms were gonna increase the price of the PS3 when they know that there not the ones goin' to buy it. maybe there are a select few who actually save there money for something they want, but the majority of the people in highschool, especially now-a-days, are spoiled. even if they’re livin' in shackey ass houses, if they don’t get wut they want from there parents, they whine about it! but really, it’s only ignorance i make fun of.
I think both Vincent and Dante are very popular, just about everyone over the age of 15 has at least heard of Final Fantasy VII and Devil May Cry is one of the hottest games that hit the PS2.
Now, Vincent’s Demon forms lasted until the end of a battle, so in the end only Dante’s demon form was temporary, well it probably is Temp in DOC. Also no one has played Dirge of Cerebrus yet, but enough has been released to speculate on what Vincent can and can’t do.
So first of all, Vincent is practicaly immortal, he was killed by Hojo, then Hojo injected Jenova Cells into Vincent’s body, the Cells brought Vincent back to life and gave him the powers he has in Final Fantasy VII. I know that Vincent is extremly acrobatic and that he is a very good marksman. I think if anything would Vincent to win it wiuld be the Number of Weapons at his disposal.
practically isnt completely; i think that it would be a close battle. even though i like vincent better, i agree that dantes demon is stronger, and vincent would bite the dust
If you have ever played any DMC, you’d be hard pressed to find how Vincent could survive.
1) Dante is a demon, well, a half-demon.
2) Dante is beyond amazing. I’d say, on par with Cloud. The cutscenes demonstrate how damn powerful he is. They only reason you can lose when you play is because the game would be boring if they gave you the ability to unleash his true power.
3) Dante can survive a fatal blow, in fact, many of them.
4) Dante could out-maneuver Vincent quite well. He can fight off blades with his guns. He can jump down a huge tower and beat the crap out of multiple demons.
5) If Dante was not already insanely powerful, his Devil Trigger forms would make him godly. It would also give him greater speed and flight.
Just FYI, I have played the trash known as Dirge of Cerberus and DMC. Dante is far more versatile than Vincent, that’s his advantage.

And no, DOC is no where near the same as DMC, and the difference isn’t just in the fact DOC sucks ass. The only similarity I ever saw was the fact both were wearing red coats and had guns.
Also, Dante has two guns, grenade launchers, shotguns, swords, nunchukus, dual blades of fire and ice, gauntlets, and Devil Triggers. The Devil Triggers would be the equivalents to Vincent’s transformations, but far deadlier since he not only is faster, stronger, and durable, he also gains regenerative properties.
Also, Dante could survive the majority of bullets Vincent put into him, and dodge any explosives easily.
In close quarters, Dante would just spin circles around Vincent and slash him up. If I remember correctly, Dante can also slow and/or freeze time in DMC3 in one of his style, but I forget...Until I can correctly recall, that’s in the open for now.
