Yeah seriously I played all the way through half life 2 and the combine were pretty weak. If a worthless disunited human resistance force can topple them then I sure think that the covenent or SP’s could. It’s not like the combine have even had to deal with any species with signifigant technology. They crushed the planet of Xen and Earth because both planets had no worthwhile armies. The worst they had to deal with was headcrabs and humans with machine guns. Real scarry. Meanwhile the covenent and Sp’s would definitely be much more than the combine could handle, since they can actually fight back with some decent technology.

Though I think that the Combine are gangster because they come form the sexiest FPS game of all time, Half Life, they would get destroyed by the Pirates.

dont forget the combine werent expecting anything, they only had a presence to keep earth from regaining power, they have conqured countless planets in multiple universes. the combine force seen in halflife 2 was only about 0.00000000001% of the actual union
How do you know that Weeman. I never saw anywhere in the game where anyone said how large the combine was or what they were capable of. Just that they had a fairly large empire.

well think, if the combine have conqured tons of other worlds in other universes and conqured earth in 7 hours, do you think their whole army would fall to a mere resistance force?
dude, weeman, u SERIOUSLY NEED TO READ the halo novel “the fall of reach” and find out just how powerful the covenant really are, the guys in the game have paper skin and plastic bones and shields of air compared to the covenant in the books.
shit, the fleet they used to destroy reach, had 314 vessals in it, they outnumberd the UNSC fleet 3 to 1, u also learn that the one of the only victories scored against the covies was cause the human fleet outnumbered the covenant 3 to 1!!! and they STILL lost 2/3 of thier ships!!!
plus, during the battle for reach, the humans use thier orbital super mac guns, and only kill about a few dozen of the enemy fleet.
then they sent in about ten thousand dropships and overwhelmed the human ground forces, and heres the kicker, master chief was on reach fighting the covenant with the other spartans! and still lost!!!!!
plus, the second book says that there were exactly 2 billion, yes- 2 billion troops occuping halo during the game (but u dont kill all of them, only about 1/7 of em all).
and that massive army represents only ONE ARMADA of the covenant forces! and the covies have about 30 armadas!!!!
and u tell me that the lousy combine have got the covies screwed!!!???!!!
i sure as hell doubt it!
(and as for the record of the combine taking over earth in only 17 hours *sneers* the covenant conquered Reach in only about 6, and Reach is the second largest military base in the entire UNSC empire!!! *next to earth*)
besides, the covies dont even have to fight the combine on the ground, they could just glass the planet with their plasma guns like they did with the outer human colonies....theyd win without a single casualty.....beat that combine!!!
