The members of Motley Crue feel that getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is fitting for the flashy hard rock group.
“We fit in there with all the dead movie stars," says bassist Nikki Sixx, who will join his bandmates — singer Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars and drummer Tommy Lee — at the Walk of Fame ceremony Thursday.
“We are from Hollywood; that’s where we played our first gig. It’s nice to be recognized for your work. It’s all right by me," he said.
Sixx founded Motley Crue in 1981 in Los Angeles, and the group built its reputation in Hollywood rock clubs before signing its recording contract. Motley Crue has sold more than 40 million albums and is in the process of turning its best-selling 2002 book, the explicit The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band, into a film.
Motley Crue resumes its Carnival Of Sins 2006 tour in February and plans to start recording a new studio album on May 1.

well, other than those obvious reasons, there are others why i don’t like rap. the sound of rap simply does not appeal to my ears. also,rap also is a total contradiction of my personality. it just isn’t me. rock just seems to fit my personality and i love the sound of it. it just feels like me. so, no i do not think i am “biased”.

Smashing Pumpkins to Reform?
Billy Corgan’s desperate attempts to reform the Smashing Pumpkins have reportedly paid off, with the band rumored to be playing at this April’s Coachella festival in California.
Corgan began his campaign last June when he famously took out an ad in the Chicago Tribune revealing his desire to reunite the group - who split in 2000.
The ad read: “When I played the final Smashing Pumpkins show on the night of December 2, 2000, I walked off the stage believing that I was forever leaving a piece of my life behind.
“I naively tried to start a new band, but found that my heart wasn’t in it. I moved away to pursue a love that I once had but got lost. So I moved back home to heal what was broken in me, and to my surprise I found what I was looking or.
“I found that my heart is in Chicago, and that my heart is in the Smashing Pumpkins."
Drummer Jimmy Chamberlain also admitted he’d favor a return to the rock world, saying of Corgan, “I intend to reach out to him.
And a recent entry on Corgan’s website hinted further at the band’s reincarnation: “The surprise I have in store for you all will be announced soon enough.
“Hold on to your horses. After all, good things surely comes to those who wait. Don’t you just love the suspense?"
Hell Yeah....Smashing Pumpkins rule. I read somewhere that the members of Pantera (except Dimebag...RIP) are going to get together to do one last album...in tribute to Dimebag.
