I want to know what is everones favoriate rock opera. Pink Floyd’s The Wall or the Who’s Tommy.
Both are great and show both of the bands greatness. But withch do you think is better. Being a huge Floyd Fan I would have to give the nod to The Wall but that is not to undermind The Who.
So It’s Roger Waters vs. Pete Townshed game on

dyunaar89 Guest | gotta go with pFloyd and The Wall, hands down. I’m writing a paper for my writing class over whether Tommy or The Wall is better, and so far The Wall is destroying Tommy. From my standpoint, it would’ve been a closer competition if you matched The Wall with Quadrophenia, The Who’s second rock opera. I haven’t heard it, but it is definitely doing better than Tommy so far.

Tommy rules.

Kellalizard Guest | its gotta be Tommy. thats the BEST rock opera ever. although you have to be able to know what it means, its actually very deep. Tommy was the first billed “rock opera” anyway, so its the best in my opinon. Townshend forever!!

hogweed Guest | The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis is the best rock opera. Lyrically, it is definitely superior. Peter Gabriel is clearly a genius. Waters might be. I love The Who, but Townshend is no genius.

petrofsky nli Guest | The Wall, hands down. One of my favorite albums. How can you beat songs like “Another Brick in the Wall?"
