Hay all you classic rock fans, as you know, with the excepetion of Live 8, the band Pink Floyd has not toured since 1994, 1981 with Roger Waters. I with millions would like to see Floyd reunite and make another album, if not at least another tour. If you have any intrest in the topic please respond

Okay Bitch you wanna test my Floyd knowledge here it goes,
Pink Floyd’s first aluum was called Piper at the Gates of Dawn, the Origional Lead singer was Syd Barret. Barrret left after the release of the second album (A Saucerfull of Secrets) due to his mental health, Roger Waters took the Lead spot and Barret was replaced by David Gilmore. The band later recorded the Soundtrack for the movie “More” the released Ummagumma a Live/Studio album. Then the 70’s started with the release of Atom Heart Mother, followed by Meddle which has the songs Echoes, and One of these Days (the only song to include the vocals of drummer Nick Mason “One of these days I’m goint to break you into little pieces”.
After their next album Obsciured By Clouds Floyd realeased their most famous album Dark Side of the Moon. (Origionaly titled “Eclipse” In the recording of their next album Wish you were Here former singer Syd Barret walked in on the recording of the album. This is Ironic because two of the songs of the album “Shine on you Crazy Diamond” and “Wish you were here” were written for him. Their next album was called “Animals” and was loosly based on George Orwell’s Animal Farm. Their next album was the Wall was a smash hit and a movie was made with the album as it’s soundtrack. Later Live Aid/8 chairman Bob Geldof starred as “Pink” the lead character in the movie.
Unfortunally after the release of their next album “The Final Cut” Roger Waters left the Band due to Disagreements with Gilmore and Wright. The band went on a temporary hiatous before the reformed and made the album A Momentary Lapse of Reason. It is disputed that the Song “Learning to Fly” was written about Pink Floyd learning to be together without Roger Waters. Gilmore declines the Statment. In 1994 Floyd released their final studio Album The Division Bell. And toured for the last time with their PULSE tour. It Seemed the Group had disbanded. Various Pink Floyd items were released such as the compelation album ECHOES and Nick Mason’s book “Inside Out A Personal History of Pink Floyd” Oh by the way Mason is the only Floyd member to be a member throughout the band’s entire existence. Then in 2005 During the Live 8 concerts Pink Floyd reunited for the first time in 10 years. WITH ROGER WATERS!!! for the first time in almost 20 years. Today the members persue solo oppertunities. Gilmore just released a new solo albub and is about to tour. But all members have said (Including Waters) that another reunion may hang in the air, it could happen.

Like I’ve said I’ve been a Floyd Fan Since Forever since I Was born I was raised of the Music. But It’s ok if Cemetary Girl wants to sit there and call people posers. There is no way I can truly prove to people I am not a “poser”. If calling people names makes her happy I will just let her sit in her SAD LITTLE WORLD.
They were just after the Live 8 concert, but The money was for a U.S tour. They at the Time rejected it. But as I stated before all members of Pink Floyd said I still could happen. Even Roger Waters said he’d be up to do a tour if the others were. But as far as a new album That in particular may be out of the question. It might be another six or so months before we get an more good news on the subject, seeing as David Gilmore is starting his Solo tour.

What you probably herad is that David Gilmore (One of Floyd’s lead singers) is going on tour to premote his new album “On an Island” But there are no current plans for any Floyd reunion.
