Just wanted to say there’s nothing wrong with 'trying 2b your parents', in fact, its quite common to find that current hip-hop-homos spend their 'careers' ripping beats and ideas off of classic musicians that actually had some talent of their own. I mean I listen to all fields of music and by no means are Pink Floyd favourites of mine, but as a previous post says quite rightly, Pink Floyd will be listened to a century from now, Talib Kweli and others will not, except by single-minded faggots like you who do not accept that other people might have alternative tastes in music. And at the end of the day, what songs these days make sense?

I meant what I said that people are listening to Pink Floyd now, then, and into the future, other forms of music such as rap’s artists will not be. Good addition from WishYouWereHere when he said except for single minded people. I doubt very seriously that there will be a 30’th anniversary release for any major rap, or hip-hop albums when that time comes, But yesterdays rock artists like Pink Floyd, Rush, and Led Zeppelin’s albums from the 1970’s are constantly being remastered, re-released, box sets etc...
I dont forsee this happening to any rap album once again when that time comes.
Well it dose not seem likley that Pink Floyd will ever play together again, but then again craiser things have happened. One thing to note is that Roger Waters, along with Gilmore, Wright, and Mason are on a talking basis (ever since Live 8). This is a good thing, if somthing were to ever come up and Floyd was to tour again, We who have not seen this line-up since 1981, or who were not alive to remember it can see the band, who have brought euphoria to millions, finally. And even if Pink Floyd were to never reunite, (Roger Waters: Never say Never) at least Pink Floyd went out as Pink Floyd as a whole, the way they should go out.
I am not trying to discredit the Gilmore led era of Pink Floyd is any way, which was full of great music, or for that matter the Syd Barrett era as well. Seeing those four people, meaning no disrespect to Syd Barrett, together again (@live8) was fantatastic, and would be fantastic if they were to play again. 5 people have made Pink Floyd into what is Pink Floyd. Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, David Gilmore, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason, each of them are Pink Floyd as an entity, and Pink Floyd could have never have done as well without thier contributions. Here’s to over 30 years of Floyd history, disregarding reunions.

I doubt that Wright will join Waters for his tour because he is touring with David Gilmour on his Solo Tour to premote his new album “On An Island”. But Nick Mason is for sure working with Waters. As far as a full fledged reunion, well have to wait until both Gilmoure and Waters are both done with their solo tours to hear any noteworthy news.

Pink floyd are immense - (as the majority of classic rock and for that matter blues rock and southern rock is), and a tour would be amazing, but i think its unlikely to be honest.
