Apparently Rap comes from funk and Soul... which basically means Marvin Gaye and Issac Hayes are the forerunners of Jay-Z and Dr. Dre. And Funk And Soul were around WAY before rock...
Oops! You’re Retarded! Both funk AND soul are subgenres of... you guessed it! Rock and fuckin roll! (you probably didn’t guess it... did you, you mouth breather...)
PS. Flava of love is the gayest show i’ve ever seen.

turds is correct. If anything, early R & B was what gave birth to rock, not the other way around. The only influence that rock has had on rap is the use of sampling.

No, it hasn’t. Sampling is taking an already completed piece of music, and reusing or re-mixing it for a new song. This hardly ever happens in rock and quite often in rap.

No matter what Rock came from it has changed enough to have very little resemblence to it’s origins. Rock came from Blues, I think, but it doesn’t matter since Rock is now it’s own style of music.

Rock musicians like Brian Eno and David Byrne were experimenting with sampling in the early 80’s. It doesn’t happen quite as often in rock as it does in rap but the use of sampling by musicians like Eno and Byrne was an influence on hip-hop MC’s and eventually made it’s way into rap.

rock has no real music talent all you have todo to be a rockstar is grow your hair out and wear tight pants and scream. rap on the other hand you have to have a story to tell a good beat and most of all a flow.
so all you rock heads can go to hell.

You just displayed all of the stereotypes that rock fans hate rap fans for. Congradulations, moron. Please quit listening to music before you end up hurting yourself.
