Guruofmusikk Guest | Both rap and rock have their merits. I’d personally say that rock in general is better than rap in general, but ultimately, good rap is better than good rock.
Good rap indeed does exist (for those ultraconservative people who are unwilling to listen to anything but rock please keep reading). Rap songs by artists like Nas, Common, and Tupac are indeed meaningful. Anyone who listens to “Brenda’s Got A Baby” and is unmoved, doesn’t have a soul.
Good rock indeed does exist, and I’m sure that it doesn’t need justification. Beats and lyrics are profound and are relatively abundant compared to rap music.
