well normally its pretty cheap, i wouldnt go for downloaded stuff cause people can hack those prorams and put trojans in them and frack up ur computer more.
yea ur probably gonna have to fork up some $$$ to get a norton program.
nortons probably the best one u can get, but dont forget to get adaware too.
otherwise u can just get trojans in ur computer and it could skrew up ur antivirus and boom ur fucked.
I know just what you need, AVG free edition. It’s great, and it even caught a nasty virus on my computer and warned me of a bunch of others that were trying to get in! A computer technichian I know recommends it if you want something for free. It works great for me, I have a Windows XP. I’ve been using it for about half a year, and it’s great! Oh, and as a good free addition to your AVG Free edition, you should get Microsoft Antispyware Beta. It is also a very good program! You’ll be surprized when it scans and shows you all the stuff you had in your computer and fixes them! I have both AVG and Microsoft Antispyware on my computer because AVG only gets rid of viruses, and Microsoft Antispyware gets rid of the spyware and adware. And the best thing of all, it’s all free, when the Microsoft Antispyware time runs out, it will ask you to update it to the newest version, and then it will continue for another long period, you never even see a prompt that asks you to buy something! It’s all free and works great! It’s just a neccesity! Just make sure you run both the scans often, they recommend every 5 days, but that is your choice. Once I got rid of some adware, and 5 days later it was back! I had to go deep into my windows components folder and find the source of the adware and delete it. But I don’t suggest you delete stuff in the windows folder unless you know what you’re doing. Anyway, here is the website to download Windows Antispyware:
