Anyways the alubum release will have a tour to accompany it. I know that much at least. I was at the Nashville show for the start of their 30th anniversary tour it was great
The absolute most talented group in the universe.Ive seen them 4 times.Have every album, and Geddy Lee ownes on base.Only musicians trully appreciate their music and I am one.Greatest song in my opinion is..................God there are so many.Ok Entre Nous!!!!
One Thing that is Crazy, is that in Rush’s expansive 30+ year career, they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It’s insane that groups like Blondie, and Madonna are in the Hall and Rush is not. If you agree with me click the link and sign the online petition.

Okay here is the very first Rush song of the Day. It is off of their 1974 debeut self titled albulm, the very first song on the album that introduced the world to Rush. Here is “Finding my Way”
Yeah, oh yeah!
Ooh, said i,
I’m comin' out to get you
Ooh, sit down
I’m comin' out to find you
Ooh, yeah. ooh yeah
Findin' my way!
I’ve been gone so long
I’ve lost count of the years
Well, I sang some sad songs,
Oh yes, and cried some bad tears
When they turn the pages of history
When these days have passed long ago
Will they read of us with sadness
For the seeds that we let grow?
We turned our gaze
From the castles in the distance
Eyes cast down
On the path of least resistance
Cities full of hatred, fear and lies
Withered hearts and cruel, tormented eyes
Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise
Beating down the multitude and
Scoffing at the wise
The hypocrites are slandering
The sacred halls of Truth
Ancient nobles showering
Their bitterness on youth
Can’t we find the minds that made us strong?
Can’t we learn to feel what’s right
And what’s wrong?
What’s wrong?
Cities full of hatred, fear and lies
Withered hearts and cruel, tormented eyes
Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise
Beating down the multitude and
Scoffing at the wise
Can’t we raise our eyes and make a start?
Can’t we find the minds to lead us
Closer to the Heart?
True, Im 19 I’ll be 20 in December. I was brought up on this music, i can think my dad for that. I’ve been listening to Rush, Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Zappa, Ac/DC, etc since I was born. Compared to this almost all other forms of music suck.
There’s no bread, let them eat cake
There’s no end to what they’ll take
Flaunt the fruits of noble birth
Wash the salt into the earth
But they’re marching to Bastille Day
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize
Free the dungeons of the innocent
The king will kneel and let his kingdom rise
Bloodstained velvet, dirty lace
Naked fear on every face
See them bow their heads to die
As we would bow as they rode by
And we’re marching to Bastille Day
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize
Sing, oh choirs of cacophony
The king has kneeled, to let his kingdom rise
Lessons taught but never learned
All around us anger burns
Guide the future by the past
Long ago the mould was cast
For they marched up to Bastille Day
La guillotine claimed her bloody prize
Hear the echoes of the centuries
Power isn’t all that money buys
Only true rush fans will know this song.My personal favorite.
Grim-faced and forbidding,
Their faces closed tight,
An angular mass of new yorkers
Pacing in rhythm,
Race the oncoming night,
They chase through the streets of manhattan.
Headfirst humanity,
Pause at a light,
Then flow through the streets of the city.
They seem oblivious
To a soft spring rain,
Like an english rain
So light, yet endless
From a leaden sky.
The buildings are lost in the limitless rise.
My feet catch the pulse and the purposeful stride.
I feel the sense of possibilities,
I feel the wrench of hard realities.
The focus is sharp in the city.
Wide-angle watcher
On life’s ancient tales,
Steeped in the history of london.
Mist in the streets of westminster.
Wistful and weathered,
The pride still prevails,
Alive in the streets of the city.
Are they oblivious
To this quality?
A quality
Of light unique to
Every city’s streets.
Pavements may teem with intense energy,
But the city is calm in this violent sea.
