Scott Guest | Pride in skin color is stupid, no matter who you are, though. Pride in something like a culture that has roots and tradition that you can trace is different. Whether it’s Africa, Europe, or wherever.
There’s a fine line between pride and arrogance. I will agree that certain people who claim “black pride” are just as bad as the racist type “white pride” advocates they berate.

Inside his story (history) of “americans” they glorify the accomplishments of ignorant people. i.e. Columbus, has his on holiday, the founder of America, yet he was disoriented and lost. Then accidentally claimed a land which was already inhabited. But they fail to mention that in school. The only history about African Americans is SLAVERY. So in defense, that’s all some blacks have to defend their opinions. Okay, there is Black History month, which is THE shortest month of the year. Then most of the attention is still taken away from it due to Presidents day. Not to mention most of the Presidents wanted to keep slavery laws in effect. So truthfully that’s a slap in the face. Back to curriculum, in order to gain more knowledge on Black History you have to go to college and enroll in that class. Meaning you may not found out more about who you are or where you come from until you are an adult. Thus, the best way to keep a people down, is through ignorant children. So preach, less teach more. And you want to speak on double standards. Those programs are put in place to set an equilibrium. Think of it this way, if you were to walk the same amount of paces, and distance as some one a block behind you there still would be no way for him to catch up. The programs elimante that block, and that block represents slavery, racism, and ignorance through improper schooling.
“Why is the ghetto a violent place?" Poverty is a factor yes. But do you believe that mice inside a maze with no “known” way out would smile and love the place they were in. Some may think of it as adaptation. I think of it as false reality. A liquor store on one corner, poor schooling, a pawn shop on another corner, section 8 housing, a quick loan store on the next corner, and a gun store on the last corner. These elements are put in place to make African Americans believe that these four corners trap them in a box. False Reality.

I could ramble on and on and on about my impressions on racism (most of which I think are spot-fucking-on) but they’d be nothing more than a rehash of what every other RATIONAL person has ever said about it.
Ultimately racism is a waste of time, in whatever direction one might be practicing it. My reasoning on this is simple: I don’t give a flying fuck what color you are, I’ve got my own god damned problems to deal with.
Everyone on the planet is something like 99.99% genetically the SAME. Yellow labrador retreivers don’t mind hanging out with black labrador retreivers. Schnauzers don’t mind boning the occasional Scottish terrier either. If dogs can figure out that they’re ALL dogs, is there some reason we can’t figure out we’re ALL people?
That was a rhetorical question. The answer is “Yes, the reason is that people are almost ALL assholes."
Probably the best way to deal with racism is for people to mind their own business and leave other people to theirs. And it’d be nice if people stopped blaming their own hardships on people and events they’ve never experienced firsthand, or in many cases, never even read about.

So, these folks buy a box of “Lean Pockets” for 20 cents more than the “Hot Pockets”. But if they thought about it for 2 seconds they’d realize they could just buy the “Hot Pockets” and JUST EAT ONE of them at a time if they want to cut calories.
This phenomenon is called “you’ve been brainwashed by propaganda”. The same thing happens with all kinds of special interest groups. They watch news or read tracts that have been specifically formulated to alarm them (in their half-informed state). Then, like rhesus monkeys when their cocaine is taken away, they get alarmed.
All the Abrahamic religions are pretty stupid if you ask me. But most folks have this asinine idea that some desert nomads from 4000 years ago somehow have insight relevant to life in the 21st century. So they read stories about sheep-herders and try to apply their “symbolism”

White people have made a name for them selves hell the world was created to cater to the white man, so we as black people have come together and make a name for us. Unfortunately a lot of us are only known if we are in the music or movie industry. Someone made a comment about how we cant speak on it if we havent lived thru it as if racism is not still going on..here it April 2006 and i walked outside of a Kappa party in Georgia and a black girls car had KKK written all over it. Im a college student miles away from home, and i didnt travel this far to see what i read about happened in the 60’s.
