Regular Rep: 7  Joined: 20 Sep 2005 Posts: 820 OFFLINE | I’m trying to upload an avatar from my computer, but it kees saying that it isn’t the right type. It’s a JPEG picture, it’s less than 15kb, and it’s 100x100 pixels. Any suggestions?

its exactly the same as this one save its jpeg format, not gif...
damn gif crap....

Regular Rep: 7Joined: 20 Sep 2005 Posts: 820 OFFLINE | I have a solution... With a GIF animator, get a good quality picture (such as bitmap) and animate that with only that frame. Save it as a GIF animation, and upload it. It will have good quality...
I’m going to try that now...

im starting from jpeg, changed it to gif and put it on.
png is too big of a file size...

and search and download “FastStone” image viewer ..
perhaps the best freeware iv ever used ..
it helped me alot with imagery .. and its easy too ..

And let me rephrase what I said. If you animate JPEG, PNG, or any other picture in a GIF editor, it will turn it into a GIF, but it will still have the same quality.
In other words, it is possible to save a GIF picture so where it doesn’t look like crap.
