Wether it be movies, tv, videogames, or music. In the end it is art, and art should not be censored. No matter how offensive, or politically incorrect some people may see different things, they do not have to engage in such activities. I am totally opposed to government regulation of the media, so I feel I speak for Media figures such as Howard Stern, Matt Stone and Trey Parker (South Park Creators), even Ron Jeremey when I say FUCK THE FCC.
I personally don’t even think that edited versions of albums and movies should exist. Either watch it as intended, or LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE. Simple as that. I used to watch tv movies and listen to the radio a lot more, but way too many EDITS annoyed the fuck out of me. Now, it’s movies or CDs. That’s IT. Just me, though. To each his own.
Censorship is unconstitutional when you think about it because it is simple...free speech is a concept meant to never be modified, and unfortunately it has been more and more over the years with this and that being deemed inappropriate. The truth is that constitutionally, the government cannot regulate, water-down, or bleep anything. It is only done to cater to the “families” in America that seem to have their way when the only constitutional way is written in the constitution. This is a clear removing of liberty to be replaced with security, which is not intended to apply to all, but it does.
“Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
~Benjamin Franklin
