"my dad used to be christian he was raised christian and went to church he converted sorta and he belives in the teaching of buddah he has read meany books about how the teaching of buddah and jesus where a lot alike and he took classes in college about the different religions and ways to interpret the bible there is the way most christians read it then there is the more deep meaning like symbolism like someone in white in a book or something means purity and inosense not just wearing white swc just because i do not believe in jesus dieing on the cross for us i believe he did but i do not belive in the resorection and that u have to follow him to get into heaven but i do beilieve in god and heaven and hell but in a different way than u”

Well of course there is symbolism in the Bible, and yes, white usually stands for good, black for evil. I don’t deny that. And why won’t you believe in the Resurrection of Jesus? It did happen you know.

Black Hydra, why do you always need proof? Why not free yourself up a bit and take some things by faith? It would help, a lot.

Because it’s blind faith. I could have blind faith in unicorns with bananas for horns if I wanted to. But I know that would be silly without proof.

There are questions to the historical existance of Jesus, let alone his ressurection, and this page below really explains the origins of the Christ figure in the Bible. Call it a 12 step program for understanding

It’s not that blind! I gave you proofs for why the Bible is true, no on challenged them, meaning you agree they are true, or just don’t care about the Truth.

You have your right to believe what you want. But the Truth is, Jesus was resurrected, whether you agree or deny. And baylee, your mom is Jewish. I believe in your mom’s God, the only God. The Old Testament of my Bible was originally written in your mom’s language, Hebrew. The Bible was written by your mom’s people, the Jewish people. Your mom’s nation, the Jewish nation, their history, is the main focus in the Bible. The Bible contains history about your mom’s people baylee. The record of Jesus' resurrection was written by your mom’s people, Jews.

Maybe you see some kind of similarity in the teachings of Jesus and Budha, but it’s not like Jesus copied Budha or anything. See, Jesus was the Son of God, who came to this earth, and died so that we may obtain salvation, and then He was risen. Baylee, do you accept Jesus as your personal Saviour, do you accept that you are a sinner, and do you believe Jesus can wash away your sins?
