You are 100% correct! Great guitars, great bass, great drums and the BEST metal vocalist of all-time is a powerful concoction. They’ve been musically solid ever since “Rocka-Rolla” (except for “Turbo” I gotta confess).
I think what’s going on is that most of the folks on the threads are youngsters. They don’t know about Judas Priest or any of the bands from that time who are still going strong unless they’ve got a friend or relative from that time to introduce them to it.
Favorite Priest: The “Dreamer Deceiver” and “Deceiver” combo on “Sad Wings of Destiny”. What a voice! ---
