SWC, that’s a contradiction. You say that god knows our life before we’re even born. That means we don’t have choices because we have to do it the way god knows we will. Free choices would be if we could do it the way we want to and without gods consent.

because the bible was written by ignorant farmers and herders. it is not the word of god. it is their words that they attribute to god. they were trying to answer the unanswerable at that time. along with many other cultures i might add.

Yeah, I know. I get to understand more and do more research, and it just strengthens me sooo much in my belief.

JUST SIX MORE YEARS AND WE WILL ALL BE THER MAN DONT WORRY AND YEAH I JUST ASKING THOSE WUESTIONS THAT KEEP ME UP AT NIGHT

“as i said i belivie in god but i just wonder why does the bible differ so much from science and yet they are supposed to be almost alike”

The Bible and science agree in very many things. It’s just that when science starts proving theories like Evolution, they separate.

“A: Why would god give us free will and yet predetermine our lives? (AKA we really don’t have free will.)
B: Why would god give us free will only to punish us for using certain freedoms to our advantage?
C: Why would god use people instead of an angel or some legitimate proof to make sure everyone knows he’s real?
straight Why would he send good nonbelieving people to hell?"

A. God doesn’t predetermine anyone to go to Hell. God is a just Judge. God knows your whole life before you were even born, but you still have all the free will you want.

B. You choose Hell. You make choices that go against God, and choose Hell for yourself. God loves you and wants you to repent and come to Him.

C. Because no matter what, you still won’t believe Him if you already have that mindset. Israel had the sea parted before them, and still many of them turned to false idols in the wilderness.

D. You choose Hell by the choices you make here on Earth, what you say, do, think.

-Killa, don’t give up in your faith. We are like sheep amongst wolves, we must not fall in our faith. You believe in God and that is good, keep that belief and try seeking God more diligently, pray, read the Bible, don’t put your hands down, you’re on the right track. Soon we will reach Heaven...

if we all came from bacteria, it doesnt make sense, why are there male and female?

evolution is NOT longterm adaptation. u mean to tell me that bacteria adapted to its environment and became birds, fishes, reptiles and mammals?
for instance evolutionists say birds came from dinosaurs, so dinosaurs “adapted” to its environment and grew feathers and wings and started to fly? that doesnt make sense. they were doing fine with their feet on the ground.

It’s obvious that your not an intellectual. I won’t go as far as an idiot, but if it doesn’t make sense to you, it probably means your incapable of understanding it. And yes it IS LONG TERM ADAPTATION.

That is not a contradiction. You have free will, God gave it to you. You choose, Heaven or Hell. God knows your whole life before you were born, that doesn’t mean you don’t have free choices. You have free choices, you choose what you do. God know the future of your life, that’s it. He gave you free will to choose where you will go. You can do what you want, the way you want. But God has the power to read your mind in the future and He sees your whole life in front of Him. YOU DO HAVE FREE WILL! Do it, go do something, do the opposite, and do that what wasn’t even a choice. Did you experience any difficulties?

“because the bible was written by ignorant farmers and herders. it is not the word of god. it is their words that they attribute to god. they were trying to answer the unanswerable at that time. along with many other cultures i might add."

The Bible was written by God inspired people. Sure, they were fishers, tent makers, shepherds, prophets, kings, leaders, and others, but they were all God inspired. Remember when John saw a vision in Heaven? God told Him to write this and that of what he saw, but not to write other things. The Bible is special, It is God’s word. It is the ONLY Holy Book that has 100% accurate prophecies.

Okay let me show you something right out of the dictionary.

Free: Not controlled by obligation or the will of another: felt free to go

Will:The mental faculty by which one deliberately chooses or decides upon a course of action: championed freedom of will against a doctrine of predetermination.

Now please, stop arguing with logic.

Perfect definition. I agree. But God DID NOT PREDETERMINE ANYONE TO GO TO HELL. So, you have free will. I used logic. I’m not arguing against it.

You make some very interesting points.

*clap, clap!*

Very resonable. I don’t believe that bacteria could evolve into everything, including man. If it were true, then why do we still have monkeys? I mean, if they were evolving for the better, why are there still monkeys who can’t talk and do the other things humans can, I’m sure if they were to evolve into humans, it would all be for the better, and yet they don’t. Hmmmm... Makes you wonder now, doesn’t it? Is my great great ancestor a monkey or not? Or even better, did I come from microscopic bacteria? Or even better than that, did I come from a rock?!? Because that’s what evolutionists believe: It rained on the rocks, and bacteria started forming in there.

Oh God not this again. Once more for the millionth time if SOMEOBDY KNOWS WHAT YOU WILL DO THEN YOU HAVE TO DO THAT. There is no discussion. That is fact. If I know who will win the world series next year then that team HAS TO WIN. They can not decide oh well let’s loose and not win. They don’t have a choice as I know that they will do that. The team may not know that they have to win but THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY STILL DON’T HAVE TO WIN. So once again we may be ignorant of our own predetermined future but we still have to follow it according to you. We cannot deviate from God’s path meaning we can not choose our own.

it’s funny that all the agnostics or non-believers are always saying:
“oh god not this” or “holy crap” or things involving religion

Ok, look at it this way. In a chess game, I am playing against you. It is your move. You are stuck with 2 moves, either moving one way so that I can destroy you with my piece. Or moving a different way, so that you can escape your ill fate. I know you will choose the escape route, but that doesn’t limit you from choosing the ill fate move, destruction. I just know what you will choose, because I know your nature and your thoughts, and I know you are trying to win the game. But I am not stopping you from moving the way that will cause you to loose the chess game.

Same with God knowing our future. He knows what you will choose, but that doesn’t limit you in choosing something else. You have the free will, but God knows what you will choose, it’s not like He is predetermining you to do it, but He knows you wouldn’t do the other thing. And our life is full of choices. To wake up, or not to wake up, to eat, or not to eat, to sleep, or not to sleep, to go to school, or not to go to school, to sing, or not to sing, to play, or not to play, to go to Movie Codec Forums, or not to, and the list goes on and on and on...

i can see what you’re getting at, using analogies is a good thing. but maybe the person you’re facing sees a even better move if he lets you destroy his piece. it depends on the certain circumstances
