Someone Who Cares...,

There are way too many threads discussing evolution and our essays. Lets use this thread to set everything up.

We shall post our essays here when we both have finished.

The topic is evolution, obviously. Try to stay on topic. I will be presenting what evolution is, some evidence, responses to common misconceptions, and dating methods.

Our arguments should include citations from scholarly sources to support out thesis. MLA is preferable. If you do not know MLA, here is a link that explains it. http://www.dianahacker.com/resdoc/
It does not have to be perfect. You just need to acknowledge quotes and paraphrases and the source you found them in.


You can stop requesting transitional fossils, I said I would present examples in the essay. I already have provided one example earlier, but I think you did not look at it.

I have written about four pages so far. The time line still stands though. It may be a few months before I complete the essay. How about we set a date for completion? Is May 31st acceptable?

I propose we write a reactionary paper once we view each others essay.

I also welcome anyone else to write their own essay, either for or against evolution.

Yes, we will use this topic, I was thinking of making a separate topic for it too when the time was nearer. But there is one problem, there is a limitation on the size of a single post, once I tried posting a really big article, about 9 pages or so, and it said it was too big and didn’t let me. I don’t know how we will come about this problem. Maybe we should ask Bjarne what the limit is for a single post, either in word count or memory usage? Because I suppose our essays will be huge, and they might not fit...


Yes, Evolution is the topic, I will write a persuasive essay. But I may have to include some things about Creation to make a point, is that Ok?


And yes, we will evaluate each other’s works and let others join in and evaluate also when we are done. We will all discuss about the two essays, and debate here. It will be interesting.

Yes, maybe even too long, but I don’t know. If we finish earlier we will post earlier, right?

Okay so you’ve got a fetus. Over nine months, the fetus evolves into a baby. Isn’t that reasonable?

The fetus grows into a baby. And it’s not evolution, the fetus of a monkey doesn’t turn into the fetus of a human over a long period of time and change. Or the fetus of a reptile doesn’t turn into that of a bird over a long period of time and change.



Anyway, could you hold up with the questions here until we post our big essays? We need some time to work on them. So the less time I spend here, the more time I will put into my essay. Because I’m pretty busy.

Actually, I could write a completely different essay on why Creation is true, so my essay will focus mainly on Evolution. I could write whole essays on why Creation is true, why the Bible is true, why the methods for dating rocks are wrong, why the Big Bang is false, etc. etc...


I was just gathering information for my essay, and I am amazed at how much there is! There are sites after sites after sites all having different information as to why Evolution is false. I’m going to have a pretty big essay afterall. Right now I’m estimating like 20 different sources will be used, I’ve had to limit greatly on sources, because I don’t want to write a book. Hmmm... Maybe one day I will write a book! There is a lot out there against Evolution! And I mean A LOT!



Yes, I will try using MLA format for the citations, and will include a bibliography to state where I got my information from.
