i like the sword and the shottie both equally
they both have their own specific qualities.
shotgun kills at close range but is innefective at long.
and sword is good with a death lunge from behind.

Nah you guys got it all wrong the sword is repsonsive from all sides, that wouldnt matter to me bacause I modd though but hands down if it came out to equally matched people one with a sword and one with shotgun the guy with the sword would win.

if they were used by equaly skilled players, the person with the shottie would win. but, the sword could also be considered better becouse it has alot more amo. with the shottie, there is always a risk that you will run out at a very bad time.

now if this was a pistol vs sword id probably say whos usin the sword, cause if its someone like Vergil the guy with the gun is fracked, but a shotgun i dunno...
honestly id put my money on the guy with the sword, providing its not a totally open feild.

who says the guy using the sword will be that much of an idiot to simply lunge at you?
i wouldnt lunge at you...
what i would probably do is take cover behind a large pillar, and stick the hilt of my sword out so you start wasting ammo providing you shot at me every time, and if that didnt work id probably use my hand in place.
eventually you would run out of ammo, then youre screwed.

like i said if there is some cover to be found id put my money on the sword guy.
if there isnt then its probably the guy with the gun all the way...
