Okay now, I;m a Christian. Not ALL rock and rap are devil music. (Actually, I could agree w/ you on rap. It sucks.)
Thousand Foor Krutch is a Christian Rock band. Hardly devil music.

And EVERYTHING is great about God. =D

And if you listen to what the lyrics are telling you to do and actually DO them (and I;m talking about the songs that talk about suicide and stuff like that) then I’d be a bit concerned. But if you are a christian, God wouldnt LET you kill yourself, or whatever.

I like rap because it has a nice beat, and the lyrics of it are alot better then other bullshit, like rock saying im so sad, everyone hates me, or something. And everything else besides rock and rap suck, who the hell wants to hear some boring bullshit about how lifes so great? Lol I don’t really care what gods interests in music are, if he dislikes rap or not. I listen to rap for my personal enjoyment, I don’t really care if it talks about killing people or partying and stuff, rock and other genres do that too. You can’t label something as bad, because everyone has different tastes. Most of the people who dislike rap have barely ever heard it, and there parents have always been controlling them, saying what they should listen too. And even if they havn’t, you’re probably a little goodie-2-shoes, go to school, do your homework, go out to your friends house, and have a happy little life. Personally, rap is REALER then all other types of music TOO ME. You don’t make the decision whether a genre is good or not. If somone likes it, then just fuck off because its none of your bussinesse to judge it. Thank you. And about it being the “devils” music, to the christians, wake up, the world is a bad place, so we talk about drugs, and killing people, its not a sin to talk about it, but too do it. Im sure god doesn’t send us to hell just because we listen to rap, and if he does do that then im going to hell. Thanks, have a nice day

woah woah. ok, granted some rock and rap talks about hell and demotes God, but most is great music. Some music of rock and rap even promotes God (u2, nas, etc). Most rock & rap music doesn’t address religion or even the supposed evil things. Music as a whole is best (I think) because of the actual music produced by the instruments, or the beats given in rap music, etc. I think that your view on music is way to overgeneralized. Some music that wasn’t written referring to God sometimes makes me feel closer to God because it can apply to religion. Or sometimes it makes me feel closer simply because it is amazing music and it shows the skills given to humans by God in writing music, singing, rapping, playing instruments, whatever it may be. This music that makes me feel closer to God tends to be mainstream rock music. (and rap too sometimes, but I like rock music much more than rap.) I definitely believe that you are way too narrow minded and need to open up to the facts that there is excellent music produced in the mainstream. If you are concerned about “devil music," most mainstream music is neutral (neither demoting nor promoting God), and some even makes me feel closer to God. The little bit of “devil music” that exists, is not popular in general. There even exists some great music of that genre of hard metal in which religious things are screamed, creating a religious, yet metal, type of music. This music is great. The actual music or beats (depending on the genre) should be focused on more.

Hah i guess that just means im going to hell because im a huge fan of Slipknot and Metallica... and a bunch of other metal bands. Im not going to listen to Christian music because its all just a bunch of pussys that dont know one thing about how to play good music... just a bunch of blonde headed babies is all ive heard thats Christian music. Maybe the Evangelicals have it all wrong. Maybe Christian rock is fine and doesn’t offend God, it’s the head bashing the Evangelicals do that is demonic and wrong. Let’s just start working on peoples hearts folks and not what they do while living on earth.

the guy who plays bass in one of those bands survived luekemia after being told he had hours to live on a few different occasions, so hes pretty damn metal, he puts it down to a miracle, and I guess it kind of is.
