Anomynous_person Guest | It all comes from one thing- Love of self. But Love of others is possible only through repentance. For those not in the body of Christ cannot do anything other than that which is oriented by selfishness. Repentance, is the turning point in life. It brings love for others. It brings humbleness, not pride.

myst7426 Guest | Please show how repentence (only) allows for love for others.

Anomynous_person Guest | They exhibit love out of love for the gain that comes from helping the other person. The gain is feeling good, or religious. There is no true sacrifice within their deeds.

Differentiate the two loves (before and after repentence). Show some practical application.

Anomynous_person Guest | Repentance is willingness for God to remove the pride out of your heart and replace it with his Holy presence. Repentance makes possible what wasn’t possible before- True self-sacrificion.

Perhaps ask yourself what the world would be like if no one ever repented or forgave others ??
They would be spending their miserable lives trying to get back at others , to be even , to always think their right and everyone else is wrong , to live life in such an anguished way .. --- Don’t take life too seriously. You’ll never get out alive.

We are discussing repentence to Jesus, not to one another.

I said give examples of the love exhibited for others for a repented christian and a non-repentent non-christian.

How is this different if the person is a repentent christian?

Nobody forgiving each other would be disaster and cause a lot more conflict.
How does repenting to God make the world a better place? Why can’t a person who hasn’t repented to God perform loving actions to other people? Why is it any different if the person is a repentent christian.
Your argument fails. Non-christians perform loving acts all the time to help other out.
