That’s the way I look at it, you two can argue on technicals but you know my answer with whoever wins by then. ---

Anyways, regardless of chaos energy or the entire universe imploding onto one point or Samus being turned into a ball, she still has energy shielding! So Samus wins, any objections? ---

Samus + Shielding + turn into ball thingy = Samus ball with shielding.
Also there is evidence that he cannot even turn her into a ball, so Sonic is another character swatted aside by Samus Aran. ---
