Sony doesn’t really produce it’s own games... they’re all third party I think... I can’t remember, but Sony has SE, which is primarily a Sony only company, Microsoft got the rights to do one FF game and that’s FFXI, Nintendo has all the older FFs plus FF Chronciles, but the newer FFs are Playstation only, and those games are everything but shitty, and watch out what you say, some games are on all three systems, so you’re saying that all three companies suck, and that my friend can get you mobed by hundreds of people on this forum.

Sony has a bad track record trying to develop their own technology. This Blu Ray shit will fail as well. History always repeats itself. PS2 may have a large in house install base, but Windows has a much larger one. Windows will support HDDvD but not blu ray.
People can live with out game consoles, but not Computers. Companies will always trump consumers. This equals, major install base of HD DVD and small base of Blu Ray.
Fony I mean Sony is fighting a losing battle against Microsoft. In the end, Microsoft will aquire Fony and shut it down.

However, that being said, the total installed base by christmas will be between 9 and 12 million, as compared to the current (as of May) of roughly 4.1 million, as titles continue to roll out.
The PS3 has better hardware and technical design than the 360, however, there is some troubling news, as admitted by most developers at E3. The majority of developers are planning to code future games for the 360, and then port them over to the PS3. This means, at best, the PS3 will look the same despite having a better technical design, better processors, and a better graphics accelerator.
The 600 dollar price point is also a problem for Sony, as is the projected 60-80 dollar cost for games.
Ask any of the other E3 attendees about how Sony was received after their unveiling. Lukewarm at best, with a polite and reserved applause at the end of the show with most people shaking their heads in disbelief at how poor the demonstration was.
It ended up being the wii that stole the show this year.

Gran Theft auto for the xbox and the PS2. which one looked better? the one for the xbox, and why is that? because it’s pure horse power just naturally makes the same game run a lot smoother with faster frame rates. same thing with spiderman 2. it’s huge map of new york ran a lot more smoother on the xbox. it’s just the nature of the beast. now that the 2 companies are flip flopped, xbox supporters are now saying it wouldn’t matter and ports from the 360 to the PS3 would look the same. if that sounds logical to you, then stick with one system. ---

The problem for Microsoft is Japan, 360s in Japan are still on the shelves from the original launch, The EB games in my area has 360s in stock and so does Wal-Mart, the 360 is not doing anywhere near as good as Microsoft hoped, just wait until the PS3 or the Wii comes out, when that happens it’s going to be mad, I’m willing to bet that The PS3 is going to break the PS2’s record for fastest selling console, and I think that the Wii will top even that.

anyways the ps2 did actually have a 40 gig drive avalable and it also came with the network adaptor.
xbox had an 8 gig drive that wasnt removable but the ps2 had one avalable. thats why future proof areas are good. ---
