if ya look at all the things ya get then yes its definatly worth 599.

eg. blu ray player
more power
new and more features for online(and free!)

if ya also think about it ya spend jst as much if not more if ya want all the same features as ps3

400 plus 200 for hd dvd makes 600 bucks.
plus online charge which makes another 300 or more for the time ya gona have it.
900 bucks or more.

so yea ps3 is definatly worth wat ya get

ok, i personaly think that the ps3 is well worth it for the price. but, if i gave you 1,000 dollers of on an extremely expencive car, would you get it? probably not. its the same thing with the ps3- of course it is an exelent deal, but people dont want to buy a $600 gaming system, even if you are getting an exelent deal. most people are just symply not looking to spend that much money. the fact that it is a good deal is irrelevent. yes, a blue ray player is expencive NOW. but, when is the last time you have sceen a blue ray disk in a store? the fact is blue ray has yet to realy get to the main market. and, untill then, you are getting a system and paying for something that you are not using. when blue ray becomes standard, the players will become much cheaper. yes, the ps3 is well worth it. but, it is not the gaming part that makes it worth it, it is the other things. and, if you do not want the other things, then you still wind up paying for them- even though they are cheaper then they would be on their own. just becouse something is a good deal, dosn’t mean people are willing to buy it.

the online is shit!
the controller is the worst thing ever mad!
the games were glitchy and had bad graphics!
and were was killzone,devil may cry 4...sony was to scared because the ps3 has horrible graphics and will never look like the trailers for those games!

ahem metal gear solid 4 and others won awards.

i saw the full 15 min trailer in 480 p not that long ago and i was really suprised by how good the story and graphics looked.
i wasnt and probly still wont buy the game but its the best i seen

double agent has way way better graphics!
way way better voice talent
and double agent has an amazing storyline!

Hey everyone its me Bounty Hunter X the real one, I had to change my name because someone did regiser it and all you can really do is get used to calling me Inferno now.

Anyways Kev360 you are right about Sony, Keep in mind their impressions at E3. Most people were not that impressed and since it was the first time people got to play the PS3 keep in mind also that this gave people their frist imprssions. First imprssions are important and as it seems not everything went well for sony at E3.
