Corrupted... Rep: 19 Joined: 20 Mar 2005 Posts: 8,563 | You can’t deny that Evolution exists. Look around. Darwinian evolution, Survival of the Fittest. Let’s say a batch of lizards is born, right? During their childhood, the climate drops in temperature. One lizard survives. Another lizard from another batch also survives. These lizards mate, and their genes are passed on to their offspring. These lizards are born with a natural resistance to cold. There, evolution in it’s finest. Don’t even say that what I just said was lies, you can see stuff like that happen all the time in the natural world.
HOWEVER. I believe that God created every living thing on this planet. To think that this, all of this, earth, humanity, life all happened by random chance and accident? Sure, it’s possible. But there’s a greater possibility of someone superior making it all happen. God gave this planet life and pushed it along towards humanity. One single cell doesn’t just become a jellyfish. Something has to help it along.
Yes that statement seems to contradict what I previously said. But have any of you ever heard of the Cambrian Explosion?
Thousands of species like spiders, scorpions, and arising at the same point in time. Before that, there were only single celled organisms known to science. Almost instantly before the point where thousands of complex creatures suddenly arose in the fossil record.
I feel...that God may have failed with Mars. Samples show there was plenty of water on Mars around the time Earth was created, and the only fossils resembling bacteria on Mars came from the same time.
God realized that life could not happen on Mars, It was unsuitable. So He made earth.
There’s a theory that life on earth came from Mars. That martian bacteria was preserved in an asteroid that crashed into earth, seeding it. Who knows, maybe God took a handful of life on mars, rolled it into a ball, and chucked it at earth. We may never know.
In any case, life arose here. People say lightning or a comet hit some soup that had all the chemicals found in DNA. But not even that makes life! DNA isn’t alive. DNA doesn’t have purpose. And believing that something as meaningful and beautiful as life happened when lightning hit a pool of water and mixed some chemicals together?!
God is real, and He created life, whether it happened on Mars of Earth. He saw it thrive on Earth, and come the Cambrian, He gave it the kick that set in motion what would become Earth today. Life lived on it’s own from then on.
And when He saw the possibility.....Let Us Create Man In Our Image.
And here I am typing this.

God doesn’t try god does... if he wanted to make life on Mars he would have... he doesn’t fail... that whole idea is pretty messed up... and second DNA has a lot of purpose... you would not be who you are without your DNA... it makes you up and gives you all your characteristics... to say that DNA is useless is like saying that life is useless... and i just wonder why God would start out making tiny one celled organisms for a few billion years and then just suddenly switch to making larger multicelled animals just like that... your ideas are a little out there and could use some revision or further explanation...

I just said that to start the discussion and to help make ideas. I am entirely Christian, if you must know.

Ok, you said God exists and He created this earth, right on! The complexity of everything could NOT be the product of chance, or random processes, there is a Greater Force, God.
As for evolution, no, macroevolution has not been observed. The example with the lizard you brought up was microevolution, which is true and it happens all the time, I like to call it “variations within a kind." But macroevolution, where one species of an animal evolves into another one over time, has NEVER been observed, and has NO empirical proof for itself. See, if you observed a lizard evolving into a snake or something else, that would be macroevolution. But your example is microevolution, the lizard remained a lizard, and no new code was added to it. So that is not evolution. Natural selection is not evolution, it is a mechanism of evolution, that is uncapable of helping evolution, as with mutations. “Survival of the fittest” doesn’t show how a certain organism evolved, it only shows how an organism SURVIVED, and we don’t question that, the strongest usually does survive, but that doesn’t show evolution. Evolution is a lie, macroevolution.

Dude your mentality is wrong, you should get off this topic and get onto one that matters.
You are like a pharisee arguing in the temple, or a saducee doing whatever. Jesus would spank your ass if he knew how you were carrying on.
Darwin’s origin of species genesis 7 days or 6 if you wish to be pedantic whats the difference, it’s all just lame. It’s hoopla hoop.

How about yours? How do you know who is wrong, and who isn’t? If you’re ideas and thoughts are based on “subjectivity”(the way “it was” before), then you cannot clearly critisize someone. If your ideas are objective(the way “it is” , then you can clearly critique another’s opinions because you are in the present thinking, not the past. You are relying on the way things really are, instead of how things were thought before. BTW pharisees were hipocrites, swc is not.
“it’s all just lame. It’s hoopla hoop."
*closes mouth to stop laughs* Hmm... I wonder why.... Lol! Look dude, if you aren’t interested in the origin of everything, then that is your problem. We can debate about it here as long as we want.

The difference you ask? I’ll tell you, one’s true, the other’s false. Now let’s pick which one is which, and argue our points. I say Creation is true. Challenge?

I am not the single white Christian, ok? I never said I was, I know I’m not. I do things wrong too, I am not perfect.

the planets surrounding the stars hold the chemicals to and energies to keep the universal balance in tact.when a supernova occur all those planets that were around this now exploded star are heated and tossed out in the infinite universe.a comet is born with all the elements to start over, but the creator or beholder controls and/or programs this process. just take a look at deep space, it all looks like a bunch atoms.
