Rap is talentless bullshit that was brought into existence merely for corporate gain. It has ruined the purity of music, and completely defaced the soul of early musicians who wrote music simply because it was music. Music doesn’t exist anymore - it’s become swamped by fashion, media, and image - merely fads. And, most disturbingly, the current trend of music has completely removed any chance that a band can arrive in today’s world, and resist the changes of time - simply based on the quality of music they write. Classic, true musicians - like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Doors, The Who, Pink Floyd, etc... could never have risen in today’s world. It’s a shame, and while there are a few exceptions, rap has become the notorious vessel by which market demands have greedily dominated the progression of music in it’s purest form. Bring back music! It needs to be nurtured - not marketed and imaged.

some of what you said is understandable but you have to realize that it is still music even if you dont like it. we have to learn to get past genre because if it is all music than theres no reason to be biased to certain sounds because if you truly are a fan of music you shouldnt care about the media input and focus on the musical aspects and expressionism which is what draws people to music. without music people would be lost, now we have to learn to understand each others different forms of music (even if it is repetitive talking or loud screams grunts or just country bumpkins singing about freebirds.) not that i dont like skynard

how can you say music doesnt exsist anymore when posting on a forum arguing over rap and rock which are two forms of music and rap is not defacing the youth of todays world. i know this from personal expeiriance cause geuss what im fourteen defend rap and rock but geuss what kind of music i play. i play all music because ive finally realized that no one can stop the power of music especially the media. the media just makes a mockery of music by creating these rumors about musicians that mean notheing.
