I have briefly looked at the last couple pages, and I am not exactly sure how it is going 'out of control'.
The posts I have seen are on topic (I think, I don’t really understand what is being said.) From what I have seen there doesn’t appear to be a great deal of rules, if any, being broken.
If any other Moderator disagrees, feel free to close it... I will also monitor that thread for the next few days.
I think he means how the context of the messages are being delivered, which in previous times I have seen more insults than facts be traded between two users, meanwhile others do the same thing, even passer-bys have done that.
Although I would have to agree with you (Lashing) I do also have to agree partially with the person who has brought up this predicament.
Slightly off topic but a point I do wish to bring up; the Halo Sucks thread has gotten greatly out of hand, people have tried to get it back on topic just for someone (and I do believe it to be the same person every incident) to derail it by calling everyone profanities at a rapid rate, nevermind that most of the regular, good-willed posters don’t even wish to stay on topic any longer.
I can quickly summon an example of this happening, be back in haste.

Out of all the posts from thereon to the last, I believe there were maybe two, perhaps three that even had anything remotely to do with the topic, nevermind that several pages prior to that they were just completly filled with insults going back and forth and the thread wasn’t even mentioned for that time.
I don’t see a reason in closing it, it’s just for fun, and it gets a lot of new people, like the samus vs. mc thread did, if it weren’t for samus vs. mc thread I wouldn’t have come to this forum, closing these topics because someone doesn’t think like you is stupid

thats fine, the point really isn’t rap vs rock but for intelligent fans for both genres to show that the form of music is different then the steriotype in the end it’s helping rather than hurting, lock vs. thead for being vs. threads is dumb
