Well that is what happens in a thread like that, if you read back there were alot of other people who were being insulting and nobody was really being polite.
It’s what’s going to happen when you join a thread like that.
But I’ll see if I can be the third person and maybe get it straightened out so you two don’t go off insulting each other, either that or just tell him that you are being insulting and ask him to stop (politely mind you), it’s a wonder sometimes what a simple request asked politly can do.
Otherwise I don’t think he can get banned, he isn’t being directly racist from what I can see he’s just presenting 'facts' he heard.

Ok I did put it in quotations because to him they’re facts though they contradict your facts, what is truth is another buisness I’d rather not get involved in.

You better get this solved with a moderator then because I’m not in any position to dictate anything I’m just trying to keep it from getting to the level of banning and maybe get you both to stand down...which has obviously failed miserably...

But you seriously shouldn’t go to the games forum to get 'assistance' because this is technically your fight you’re making not theirs...that and they are talking about other things, politics and history aren’t what they are talking about, games is...

Find a moderator then or just ditch the thread, don’t let it get to you.
Maybe in 5, 10 minutes time he’ll have left...
Since no mods are even active and by the time they are this will have stopped you should start thinking of a way to get out of it now instead of this carrying on and you maybe exploding in a rage burst...and then you possibly getting banned for who knows what...

Dude like I said there isn’t any mods avalible, hell you me 226 and googlequeen are like the only ones actually ON right now...
You told me yourself and everyone else that you’re just about to explode, you do that who knows what you’ll say and in the process it could get you banned.
If you can try to resolve it peacefully...but I’d hate to see you get banned instead...
And as I said you should expect that when you’re walking into a thread like that, just like the rap vs rock thread.
Honestly if you want my opinion both of you should get warned and that thread closed because I myself am tired of seeing it, same goes with the rock vs rap thread...

1. they both have people like lonliness talking trash to other people, in the rock vs rap thread they constantly say rockers are all emos for example, a similar situation is basically happening at the america vs britan one.
2. like I said there aren’t any moderators on so it didn’t work to well did it?

4. I’d rather niether of you get banned myself and that thread get closed because it’s just a magnet for bad things to happen, but that’s my opinion, destroy the problem not the people in it. (speaking of which they do have temporary bans now, I forgot about that)
5. Neither would I, but I wouldn’t jump in and ban him without a warning, I’d probably get in give a warning or two let you two settle it out and nobody will have a loss from it.

Actually warnings are traditionally given out FIRST before getting banned, just tell him for an example that one more complaint will register in his ban for the day.

No racism should not be tolderated but a little warning will probably do just as good.

I don’t know I already told you that don’t ask me they’ll get there when they get there ok?

put it this way

here’s my basic guidelines

ban without warning- racism (does nto include mistakes made by peopel obviously not racist, guests get automatic ban, could be temporary dependign on teh degreee)

ban- extreme amount of spamming and whatnot

warning- spamming, equivelent to what sonic wind did

don’t do anything- PS3 fan or fans just statign their opinions even if they r beign stupid

He left anyhow, just as I predicted would happen, so maybe you can just put the whole bloody incident BEHIND you...
You know I would’ve loved to help in some other manner and I tried in this one but it obviously had little effect...

the site guidelines should be updated
to better fit newer times

and i think using those would make this forum a better place for everyone

Well I find the guidelines they have now just as effective.
You’ll have to talk to one of the moderators once one arrives about this, it’ll most likely end up in a warning and if it breaks out again then that’ll probably end up in a ban.
Now in the meantime he’s gone, maybe you should just forget the whole thing happened.
There isn’t anything wrong with the rules, and what type of ban/warning gets dealt out depends on the moderator. (SA-X most likely would’ve banned for a day/week, GR probably a warning, so it differs, you can’t limit their moral compass)
Just let them do their job the way they’ve been doing it cause so far they’ve been doing it just fine...

that’s y i say guidelines cus situations can be different

as for the rock vs. rap section i say let that be cus it gets rid of most of the morons and gives em place so they dont bother anyone else

anyways, im calm now


but i would like to talk to Bjarne abotu the modifications to the guidelines cus i don’t find em that effective if this guy can get away with all he’s done

Ok if a moderator was present then the situation would’ve probably been solved, you don’t need to change the guidelines you just need to get maybe more moderators or something else, the way it works is fine except for that.
And it’s good that you’re calm but you kinda got me aggrivated a bit because of that, I mean it is just so simple to fix and everything went just as I predicted it to...
